  1. Hey, I might be interested in one or two of those containers and SET400's if they have some life left in 'em
  2. I have been looking on Ebay, tons of stuff, but pricy sometimes And I have no idea which one will work best for editing to a VHS tape. "The needs of the many out weigh the needs of the few, or the one" - rehmwa
  3. Wow! Why didn't I thinkof that..................cause I don't need a laptop,maybe? I think what I was after was an editing board.
  4. What is a good low price edit board, I see SIMA and Videonics seem to be the popular brands?. Are there any pro's and con's to either? I just realized I can't use the fader functions on my TRV33 because it is all D-boxed up on the top of my helmet, so I figure I need a good board to add my own fades and music. By the way, I know alot of videographers are moving into the age of computer editing, so if you have a board stored in a closet somewhere and you wanna sell it, let me know. (sabr190@dropzone.com)
  5. Just my .02, Maybe he should call Bonehead and ask a few questions. I have two full face helmets, a Z1 and a Havok. I actually had to mod the face shield on the Havok to let MORE air in due to fogging and I have no problems seeing my handles or chest strap with the visor fully closed. It really sounds like a fitment problem IMHO. By the way, I have a pretty large melon also, 7 5/8 Call Bonehead they have GREAT customer service, see what they say and let us all know the answer. Sorry, this took a while to post, so I may be repeating what someone else has alreay said. "The needs of the many out weigh the needs of the few, or the one" - rehmwa
  6. We have been using the hanging from the strut method for many years. The only way I have seen a student even come close to going through the lines is if they shove themselves away from the strut when they release.
  7. Not sure I agree with closing an open container in the plane, seems to me it would be safer to let them ride back down and have the container re-closed and fix the reason it came open in the first place. I have had to deal with a spring loaded pilot chute coming out as a student turned to the door for climb out, he scubbed the pin out on the pilots seat (c-182). The pilot and I seized the pilot chute and pulled the student back in the plane, closed the door and landed. No problem, other than I had to clean out my shorts. If the pilot chute had made it out the door, I would have tried to push that student as far from the plane as possible. Sorry pal!
  8. Before I started this thread/poll I would have never thought of someone packing a step-through on my tandem or my personal rig either. Shit does happen, agreed? But, packing a step through deserves five across the eye. "The needs of the many out weigh the needs of the few, or the one" - rehmwa
  9. C182, usually around 7k, I like to check all student harness adjustments prior to hook-up, just to make sure a strap hasn't creeped, so we start around 7k with the checks. "The needs of the many out weigh the needs of the few, or the one" - rehmwa

  11. I scored a 38..................I thought I would be much higher. All kidding aside, I found it pretty enlightning, but I'm not sure I agree with my score.
  12. Hi TM's Just curious about this, so feel free to post your horror stories, I am all about learning from people who have been there and done that. I personally have not had a tandem reserve ride.....yet, but I am told it's not a matter of if you will, but when you will. 17. Sorry, maybe I should explain a little better. I used to ride sport bikes before I took up skydiving. The group of guys I rode with and I used to say dress for the crash, not the cruise, meaning you dress for the unexpected, leathers, boots, gaunlet gloves, helmet, ect. I would rather my student have every advantage in the event things go bad or just for a slide in landing. Maybe the jumpsuit could save a little skin or prevent a laceration. I know from experience that a jumpsuit can help in some situations. Funny side note, USPA came out with an article a couple of years ago titled "Dress For The Crash, Not The Cruise" I have a pretty big jumpsuit, fits over most peoples clothes
  18. Being from a 182 DZ, there is not much need for rear risers on the tandem, but I have done it just to see if I can. NO WAY could I flare it for landing like riggerob says he can.
