The demise of the Beothuck(spelling?) indians in Newfoundland bears a startling resemblance to the Tasmainian Aboriginal. In both cases the white settlers basicaly span the island and just hunted them down as if the were vermin. Watch my video Fat Women http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eRWkEky8GoI

I ran my own fencing company here in NZ for about 6 years before my current job. I have literaly built miles and miles of fencing made from cheap pine timber. Some of those fences are now 10years old, and have been through many wind cycles including a couple of cyclonic ones. Not one single paling (slat as you called it) has broken as a result of wind. I would rather not fix something with the same material if I knew in advance it was likly to break again!! Watch my video Fat Women http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eRWkEky8GoI

I have exactly the same problem. Fall asleep with ouit a worry and then wake up from3 to 5 hours latera nd after a few daays of this in a row I am shattered I have been taking a drug called imovane and it works a treat. It just make you drowsy about an hour after you take it but helps to sleep right through the night. If you do wake up for a pee parade or what ever? you can get bake to sleep. There are herbal remedies I have taken as well but they don't work half as good. The only side effect of the imovane I am aware of is it does leave a bitter after tast in your mouth. A bit like the taste of orange peel. Watch my video Fat Women http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eRWkEky8GoI

Shady and Tank were both there at that time as well. We had a very good contingent of Ontario jumpers. Tank went missing for a couple of hours on one of the jumps when he had a mal (slow speed unstearable) and just rode it down till he did an inflight transfer, miles away from the DZ. We also had Robin Talbot, Nick Fall,Mike Ashley, Guido Robert, and a whole bunch of others there at the same time. Great trip from what I do remember Watch my video Fat Women http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eRWkEky8GoI -

He may have been on it, I don't have a list of the participants anymore (shifted country and lost stuff to many times). He was there at the time cause I remember a group of sitting around and working out the guitar to play fine time to fail me reserve. That' s still a great somg isn't it? Reading this thread has brought back some memories. This one might be better placed in the scary stories thread but I think it applies here as well. In 74 at the Port Severn drop zone in Ontario, we had several PCs and a Paraplane Sled as demo canopies, all dark blue with the Belvedere Tobacco name on the side. Steve West (RIP) went up for a jump with the sled (rope and rings, pack one way for terminal one way for hop and pop). It was cold, he was wearing ski gloves, and had a bloody great pilot chute in tow after dumping. Watching from the ground was scary enough as he keep falling and falling, but from his position dealing with ski gloves and shot and a half capewells, he removed one glove, using his teeth to do so, and proceeded to cut away one side at a time. He managed to get through all this and get out his belly mount reserve very low, far off the DZ and into the bush. A group of us hoped into a Landrover and went out to retrieve him. After bush bashing as far as we could go, which wasn’t very far we found Steve, minus all the gear, walking back towards the DZ. He had landed up a small tree and managed to get him self down leaving the rig up the tree. So off we went in pursuit of the gear eating tree and along the way found the cut away main, the offending glove, and the kicker plate from the reserve. We also found a local duck hunter, complete with shot gun, who had seen Steve descend, and he led us back to the tree to retrieve the reserve etc. Of course the reserve hanging in the tree wasn’t going to just leap down into our arms, so the duck hunter placed a few rounds into the trunk (about 4 inch diameter) and down came the tree. So a great story and a very close call due to the ropes and rings and the alternate terminal vs. sub-terminal deployment system. Watch my video Fat Women http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eRWkEky8GoI

I remember seeing both but can't remember the name of the canopy with the ropes on top. It may have been a paraplane sled?? Watch my video Fat Women http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eRWkEky8GoI

Don't know about the man in motion referance, in 84 I was living in Aussie. Niaghara parachutes was run by Eddie and Anne Grimm. The made copies of several bits of gear. All very good workmanship and they always gave very good service. I had A Cobra main, Baby cobra reserve, and one of his winderhog knock offs. Unfortunatley niether on of them is with us. Anne did a no pull in the 70's, I was on the load and under canopy when she went in. Eddie's demise came a result of disorientation while flying his little cessna through bad weather. The Canadian one was used at Baldwin Ontario, where it somehow ended up on the bottom of a lake, and was hence forth refered to as the Lost. I think it went through the ice? Watch my video Fat Women http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eRWkEky8GoI

Why it "sickens you" is baffling to me as you know niether me or the circumstances involved. You have jumped to a conclusion of some sort based on ?????? Facts are My Ex and I are still on friendly terms with two beautiful children, and have been seperated for many years already, like 9. Only bothered to get a divorce now as I have met someone else and after two years of a relationship with her we have decided to make it official. Don't be so quick to jump to conclusions, life is too short to spend too much of it in a sickened state Watch my video Fat Women http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eRWkEky8GoI

How many jumps did you have...

Pie for the 100th was a long standing tradition already when I did My first Jump in Aug 73. Usually the next pie was 1000, 2000 so on and so on. Other places have had various different traditions but 100 always seems to be something special and worth making a big deal about.
