So I'm taking a Photography 1 course at the college on top of my required classes just b/c I thought I'd enjoy it.But the prof has turned out to be a total BITCH! I missed 1 class of hers b/c my sister had to go to the ER and so I had to watch her 5 kids for the day and couldnt very well take them with me.So I emailed her telling her the situation and she replied that I needed to bring her a note from my parents explaining why I missed her class...wtf? I'm 25yrs old! After my next class with her I asked her to show me what/how to do the darmroom procedures that I missed and the assignment she gave out that day and she said she was too busy and to get another student to show me how/what I missed. Also I asked her if she'd help me put together a portfolio for an intern photographer's job at the local newspaper and she said that if I was too busy to come to her class than she was too busy for me and that "theres no way possible a Photo 1 student could possibly have the talent for a job with the newspaper."She wouldnt even look at my work with the exception of 1 pic which she said was "unprofessional" and that since it was a nature pic the paper doesnt need nature photographers. I was in tears when I left her. The last straw was that she said my equipment wasnt any good.News flash bitch: I worked for Norman Kent for a summer and I own his old equipment from "Willing to Fly".So its not crappy equipment! So I'm just at the point now where I want to drop the class since I dont need it to graduate.I know I'm going to hear "suck it up cupcake",but what should I do? "...just an earthbound misfit, I."

Thanks,but I think you misread my post.I'm supposed to be working with TMAX400 not TMAX100.I'm not sure why we're starting out w/Tmax instead of something else for our first darkroom class.I'm just going by what they told me to buy.But thanks for the great info!Mucho appreciatiative.

I didnt put this in the photographer's forum b/c I dont know how many camera flyers out there would be interested in this,plus its not for freefall photography.But if it needs to be moved then so be it. I'm taking a Photography I college class and we are required to use TMAX 400 B&W film.Well,I accidentally bought 1 TMAX400 and 3 TX400.Neither are C41 processing and we have to do our own dark room work for the class anyway,so for any photo buffs out there, exactly what is the difference in these two films?I know theres a difference in the processing,the temp has to be different or the timing or something but I cant remember.I'll have to ask my prof after the holiday if I can still use this film b/c there isnt another store in town that carries TMAX400 and the store I bought it from is out of it since I bought the last roll they had.Help! I sprang my happy little ass up out of bed at 7AM and drove 20miles to campus only to remember that today is a school holiday and I could have slept in! Then I saw an ex bf on the road and not so nicely cut him off in traffic so that balanced it out for a little bit. Then I go to buy an new battery for my camera for my photography class and find out its $16! Then picked up 4 rolls of film only to find out I picked up 3 rolls of the wrong film b/c someone didnt put them back in the right place and I didnt check them before I bought them (totally my fault)...but it still sucks.So I go back to get an exchange only to find out that they dont have any more of the film I needed and customer service wont be opening for another hour to get a refund on account of it being a holiday. dammit I'm going back to bed!! I'm taking Sociology I and PhotographyI.At first I was also taking Business and Public Speaking (Speech1115) but not enough people signed up for the class so it was dropped and all the other classes were full,so I have to just get a refund and take it next semester.But,including the speech class I only need 6 classes to graduate. I know I got an email saying Skydive Aggieland is jumping 7days a week now but dont know if its permanant.Maybe Skydive Dallas if theyre open 7days a week.Aggieland is smaller but a good quality dz.I dont know if they have any packer positions open. I was born in Dallas,TX and grew up in a small town just south of Dallas.Then I moved to a small town outside of Houston to go to school but ended up dropping out b/c I ran out of $.So right now I'm not doing anything except looking for a job. Hopefully I'll go back to school sometime soon and finish my BS in Criminal Justice and Victims Studies.I'd like to work for law enforcement but my knee is bad so I probably wouldnt pass the physical so I'd like to work the court side of things and work for a victims advocacy group.I quit skydiving for 3yrs now b/c of said knee injury.
