T-10s? That was no dream. THAT was a nightmare! No. C-9's were the nightmare. C-9's are the shit - much better than a T-10 Experienced jumper - someone who has made mistakes more often than I have and lived.

Inception is a fantastic movie and yes I have heard some of those theories. Experienced jumper - someone who has made mistakes more often than I have and lived.

I have read/heard that you only remember dreams if you wake at a specific part of the sleep cycle. Perhaps I am waking in a different part of the cycle who knows - but dreams are cool. I used to dream that I had a total malfunction and sort of "bounced" from one fully inflated T-10 to another like a giant bouncy castle and wake up during the dream. That was a recurring dream when I was ~19years old. Experienced jumper - someone who has made mistakes more often than I have and lived.

    Dreams

For most of my adult life I have no waking memory of my dreams. The only way I knew I had dream't was my wife bitching/laughing at me because of sleep talking or actions. She has never forgiven me for the time I was screaming that a train was coming and then my hiding behind her in the bed. Anyway over the last 2 or 3 months I have started remembering my dreams during waking hours and they are pretty funny/entertaining. Does anyone else not remember dreams - that is no conscious memory of dreaming at all? Experienced jumper - someone who has made mistakes more often than I have and lived.
  6. It depends on your relationship. Honestly open marriages are becoming more common and in those cases a one night stand may happen with the partners blessing. It is all about trust and the boundaries in your relationship. Even people in open marriages have the definition of cheating and boundaries that they would like respected. 8. I was thinking the same thing...no, I don't wanna zippy whammo sludge wrap...why did ya make too many of 'em? Perhaps because I don't go to drive-thru (been twice ever) that seems like a strange complaint. I would imagine a fair number of people go with the suggestion driving sales up. 9. Actually in a world view - Bush is seen as the embodiment of an idiot. While American politics is not my strong suit - I have NEVER seen a president come off as inept and stupid as Bush managed to. (Note I am specifically mentioning how he portrayed himself - I don't believe that anybody truly stupid could be a US president). I don't know if it is just the change in political climate worldwide - but Obama doesn't appear to get much good or bad press. 12. I am not a pilot but I fly commercially alot. I don't think there is a "right" answer to your question as I believe various airports have different restrictions (e.g minimum heights over a city centre, mountains to clear etc) But flying into Heathrow we are normally at 3000-5000 feet 10 miles out on approach. 14. I think the bottom line is its pretty pathetic and sad that people need to be divided into two camps about things like this as the US in indeed not the land of the free and stupid laws and fears stop people living a normal life. I agree. The law should prevent parents who have signed a waiver exploiting the loop holes. The US litigious climate is very scary and must make operating a DZ a nightmare. I did my first jump on my 16th birthday - the only reason my parents signed the waiver is that they didn't think I would jump! 17. While I think the OP is over the top - I do tend to agree that in the west we have over-reacted to the terrorist threat. I certainly believe that a threat exists and that we need vigilance but I am not certain that all of the laws and responses have been measured and proportionate to the risk. 22. Jo, 377 and others have pointed out - only an idiot would get involved in a lawsuit over web chat. Internet forums are the adult version of a kindergarten playground. Just ignore their posts and focus on your story. I know that you are given a hard time on here for your story and I don't see that changing. I am as frustrated as others with the teases and taunts that the "big revelation" is simply days or weeks away. Just focus on your story - Duane led an interesting life, he may or may not have been Cooper. Feed your information into the mix and let others do the analysis. Don't take anything personally 9 times out of 10 it isn't mean't that way. Experienced jumper - someone who has made mistakes more often than I have and lived.

  24. Jo and Jamie - PLEASE PLEASE stop this bickering Jamie - you have a fresh story to tell, so do Vicki and Jo but if you let squabbling get in the way it really becomes tiresome quickly. Frankly all 3 of you have interesting stories regarding family members just focus on that angle and it will keep the thread interesting - regardless of whose actual relative was Cooper.
