That sounds absolutely fantastic and think that the manufacturers would sell a lot of those provided it be relatively light and not ridiculously expensive. Lineover - When it comes on your reserve?
mchamp replied to mazevedo's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
So if for some odd reason you don't have a hook knife and have a line over on your reserve and its flying relatively well, I'm assuming your best bet would be just to leave the toggles stowed and use rear risers? Also perhaps depends on how much you are loading your reserve and on how light/strong the wind is that day. So would the same minimum bump up apply to the new V4 later on in the spring? Also I see that the new minimum wingsuit jumps for the V3 was bumped up from 50 to 150? For info regarding lift ticket prices all around the world check out http://www.jumpticketprices.com/dropzones.asp

I have the semi-stowless D-Bag from UPT and have jumped it for the past 220 jumps and have yet to have any hard openings due to the bag. Love the semi-stowless and highly recommend it! 2 stows, with a simple figure 8 for the lines, 4 tuck tabs and done.....faster and easier than a regular bag IMHO....also spending less time replacing broken rubber bands I attended the stowless bag seminar over in DeLand during the Skydive Expo and recall hearing that it also has less potential for line twists.....and virtually eliminates the risk for bag locks? Correct me if I'm wrong For info regarding lift ticket prices all around the world check out http://www.jumpticketprices.com/dropzones.asp

Personally i'd say around $1,400 +/- $50 Since you've done most of your jumping in non dusty areas it could definitely help retain the resale value....But the WL that you are loading that canopy at might hurt it slightly Also when are you coming back to O dude?! Article on landing wingsuit w/o parachute

May have to do with the fact they weigh about 200 grams, instead of the 90 kg exit weight we have I was thinking more like 55kg Yay for lightweights! For info regarding lift ticket prices all around the world check out http://www.jumpticketprices.com/dropzones.asp -
Tell the fat boys to lose some weight? LOL!! Is the typical WL for CRW still @ 1.300 – 1.375? Also are the majority of CRW dogs beginning to migrate towards the storm? For info regarding lift ticket prices all around the world check out http://www.jumpticketprices.com/dropzones.asp

Anyone have any info on the newest release wingsuit from PF? (Not on the website yet, but leaked/teased on FB from the company) How does if fly compared to the Ghost 2 and what kind of modifications did they do? Always got to love the new toys that manufactures add to their flight line For info regarding lift ticket prices all around the world check out http://www.jumpticketprices.com/dropzones.asp

Loaded lightly it is a great beginner canopy loaded a little more heavily and from what I've heard the flare somewhat diminishes. I have 100jumps on a pulse 150 loaded at 0.93 and the glide on that canopy was amazing in terms of getting back from long spots. Usually opened for me anywhere from 400-600ft 95% of the time on heading and no hard openings whatsoever despite how few feet it takes to open. Always comfortable openings hassel and worry free. Few line twists once or twice and the canopy still flew straight Pulse also packs slightly smaller than other canopies such as the Sabre2 due to the different material on the bottom skin. Go demo one you might just like it For info regarding lift ticket prices all around the world check out http://www.jumpticketprices.com/dropzones.asp

Don't forget to jump a Velo 84 on your next jump or else you won't be cool enough! But on a serious note, have you ever jumped with that body? For info regarding lift ticket prices all around the world check out http://www.jumpticketprices.com/dropzones.asp

Basic Air Concept - Fraudsters or genuine mistake?
mchamp replied to rjfrt's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Gotta take the good with the bad. The same mechanism that allows USPA to inform everyone of changes, or allows us to gather news, incidents, share stories very quickly...also allows people like the OP to make genuine mistakes in attacking someone. And in instances where someone is trying to commit intentional fraud, getting the word out faster is better, don't you think? This thread is simply an illustration of foot-in-mouth-gone-worldwide (Something that we all do from time to time?). I really do enjoy the way you approach so many situations! Does anyone know of someone that uses RED cameras on a regular basis or even occasionally? If so how is it, is it at least somewhat practical in terms of setup and stuff? My 2nd chop... skyhook.... PD

Awesome choice getting the V3 with the skyhook! One concern is 2 chops within 400 is kind of on the high side don't you think? ;) For info regarding lift ticket prices all around the world check out http://www.jumpticketprices.com/dropzones.asp -

Best way to guage no wind landings
mchamp replied to regulator's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
With more experience I suppose you just begin to get "the feel" for it? Also canopy courses definitely aid in judging the proper time/way to feel for it and flare. For info regarding lift ticket prices all around the world check out http://www.jumpticketprices.com/dropzones.asp -
Javelin x Vector 3. Which one is more safety ?
mchamp replied to Gerardo69's topic in Gear and Rigging
Thanks for that Link! But does a higher loaded spring deem it to be actually safer just because of the launch force? For info regarding lift ticket prices all around the world check out http://www.jumpticketprices.com/dropzones.asp -
Javelin x Vector 3. Which one is more safety ?
mchamp replied to Gerardo69's topic in Gear and Rigging
Most certainly did receive your reply and much appreciated! In response to your question, personally I did not choose my rig based on TSO certifications but was solely curious about the differences. I highly doubt that any people choose to purchase their rig upon TSO certifications as modern rigs nowadays are just about all quite safe and secure. I would also go as far as to say that 95% of people that are not riggers would not know the difference between different TSO's. I chose my rig upon pin protection, riser covers, freely friendly, and the safety options and choice of materials.
