  2. my edumacated guess is the added surface area
  3. After going to the local butcher tonight and get a pork chop cut thinner than I wanted, I couldn't stuff it so I made an impromptu foil meal to grill. It ended up being a pork chop marinated in a mango puree coated with a mixture (was going to be the stuffing) of chopped bread, pear, apple, and onion...turned out pretty good... What're your guys' favorite foil meal recipes?
  4. Thought I'd give you guys another update FWIW.... I have since gotten rid of my pup..although I loved her and gave her a ton of attention, she wasn't a right fir for my roommate and I, she just had too much energy for our little apartment. It broke my heart to get rid of her but she's going to have a great home with a big yard to play in... In regards to the biting incident, the girl who I'm paying decided to only make me pay half the bill. She finally came to her senses that there were 2 dogs involved, hers wasn't on a leash, and the $90 for an emergency vet visit wasn't my responsibility. We both agreed that splitting the bill half n half is the best possible solution for both of us...so signed papers and copies of bills and what not have been thrown out the door and she decided to settle it like adults...
  5. Oh Pitcher not catcher While I don't play baseball, analogy still works :D
  6. Sure she's cute. And likes beer. And likes pot. Not the right parts though for me We settled it tonight.... I am paying for the antibiotics portion of the bill, not the emergency fee for an after hours visit or the follow up visit. Anyone that knows me personally knows I'm a very reasonable young man, and it took a lot keep this out of court. She was hell bent on getting the full amount but after realizing she violated the apartment rules regarding leashes and could lose her dog, we agreed to settle it. I'm not happy or mad. For me, the monetary loss is far easier on me than the stress further action would cause and having to deal with her after her original attitude....
  7. I had my dog on a retractable leash shortened to about 5 ft and yes I was holding it when it occured. She was heading back into her building and I was in the grass and her dog came into the radius of the leash.
  8. Because of that, I'd man-up and pay the entire bill. So, let me ask...what does the leash have to do with who got bit by whom? Would you have different feelings had her dog been on a leash, too? Or, had neither dog been on a leash? IMO, it appears that you are using the leash law bit to avoid responsibility for your dog's actions. No, not being nasty here...just stating opinion and reflecting on what I would do. First off all, I'm not in Sweden...just outside STL.. Pops, my dog was the aggressor, but her dog approached mine. I don't deny my dog bit hers, but its that fact that her dog was allowed to even get near mine since it wasn't on a leash. And talked to the landlord who owns the property. Pet owners, myself included sign a pet waiver stating all dogs must be on leashes in the parking lot and commons area.
  9. ....I thought about adding some asshole comment, but since I haven't chatted in a while with you, I refrained :P . Btw, did my first real paid photoshoot for a couple and their 1 and 2 year old this past Sunday, could use a good critique of the photos.........Should I have PM'd this?!
  10. I would have to pay half? I realize it was my dog that 'attacked' hers but I can't get past the leash laws....I didn't violate anything...
  11. This is the only option going through my mind right now honestly...just agree to pay some and be done with it...time/stress wise the court shit seems unnecessary to me
  12. If you hate rants that really don't have a point, quit reading... So about a month ago, I took my dog outside my apartment so she could relieve herself. A girl in the building next to me was taking her dog out at the same time. My dog was on a leash like she always is, the other girls dog was not (we have leash laws on public streets where I live). The dogs have always been friendly but something set my dog off that night and she chomped down on the girls dog. Now I felt awful. Leash and whatnot aside, I felt horrible my dog bit someone else's. It seemed like rough play at the time until the girl had her dog in good light and discovered blood. I felt worse. She asked if my dog was up on shots, my dog is, didn't hear anything for a while.... Fast forward one week. I see her and her dog outside, ask how the dog is, she replies "fine" in a pissed, bothered tone... Fast fast forward to tonight...She confronts me when I'm taking the trash out to the dumpster and asks I pay some of the vet fees (news to me she actually to her dog to the vet). Reluctant, but understand, I agree to contribute a minimal amount. She demands I pay the full $224.69. My jaw drops. I had no idea how to react. I remind her she didn't have her dog on a leash, no complaint was filed or anything, it's a month old, no witnesses. She says she was on private property so she didn't have to have her dog on a leash (We live in the same apartment complex, separate buildings. There are 2 external doors per apt. with a common grass area and parking lot which is where the incident occurred) I don't want to pay full price, she says she's going to file a small claims. If I say fuck it, will it go away since she doesn't have a case? Does she have a case? Will I have to pay anything to fight it? I've never hated someone so much in my life...I'd rather hang out with the douche that called me a 'cock sucking faggot' than deal with her any more.

I think I'm the only college student without one. Got rid of it awhile ago, the privacy settings are obscene. Google+ is where it's at.
  15. Hopefully the video from his GoPros turned out
  16. I'm one of like 4 people at the DZ that doesn't smoke...I always joke about putting up a "Smoke-free DZ" sign, but at the same time think about how much crazier the DZ would be if people couldn't smoke
  17. My fiancee doesn't play sports so it's not about preference. To everyone else, this is about hockey v baseball, not any other sports.
  18. No, they're not. A player who gets lots of ice may get 25 minutes of play. Most get less. I'm not saying they are not in great shape, but they dont have the stamina soccer players have. They need to have strong burst capability, and then they come off the ice for 2-3 minutes. Agreed Remi. Soccer players definitely rank up there, possibly above hockey players. Still, hockey players are still above baseball players.
