Well, maybe I'm not sure of the true def of a track but what they had me do was bring my arms in and stick my legs out and sure enough I felt us tip forward and go!!!! for a count of 3 and then back to boxman. Did I maybe pick a crazy TM to jump with??? :)

Not trying to take anything away from this post but Speaking of diff types of AADs If yu look in the classified section there is a Sentinel MK-2000 for sale for 150$. What is that all about. Anyone ever heard of this. is this like an after market of the fxc??? just wondering

Yeah they gave me the jump sequence on a piece of paper and said go through this in your head for a bit and then they had me practice it on the creeper with the TM. He did ssay however if we dont get through any of the excersises to at least do your PRCP and keep alt awareness!! But everything came out smooth. So I take it Tandems dont track?? Is this somewhat risky jason

I dont think there is anyone here jumping in UT so its cool to kknow someone thats jumping in an area I'm familiar with, zBy the way where ya headed after GV. Went to the local DZ sat to get scheduled for AFF and my level 2 tandem. They just opened on the 10th and when I walked in the lady said "so do you want to jump today and get your level 2 complete so you can start AFF" GREAT GOOGLY MOOGLY I didnt expect to jump right then but said give me 20 min to go home and get my money!!! Came aback went through my T2 training and upp we went. 10,000 ft later, front flip out, alt chk, PRCP, track 3sec, altc chk, counterturns lft/rht, alt chk, all monuvers completed by 6700 ft, flash 5-5 and then trouble, reached for RC and found then teather it was attached to but know handle fumbled for a sec then looked for it and altchk (4500) Saw it flpapping around on teather and as I reached for it the TM helped me get my hand on it and POP smooth opening. TM said jump was very nice all exercises completed with great alt awarness and know problem exect for a TM assisted pull. And I must say TRACKING KICKS ASS that was the coolest feeling to just dip down and swooooooooooosh!!!!!! Any way jsut thought I'd share. I'm just so stoked that after all this time its finally happening!! jason

Hey dutchboy, although I cant help ya with your question, I grew up in lowell michigan which is about 30 miles away. unfortunatly I now live in utah, but man thats so cool your going to be jumping there. The good news: My job is working with lasers. I operate and miantain two CO2 lasers. It'd be an honor to work on your eyes. the bad news: These lasers cut any thing from the thinest of paper to 1" thick steel!!! Dont think theyre the same as a eye laser. But hey how can you argue with freeeee eye work :) (j/k) I always did wonder how you guys jumped with contacts. That would sux if one popped out right before landing. Wish I could help. Iflyme, that is true. I'been told by both Fighter pilots and and civilian pilots that this is a big reason people get air sick because they dont have the controll and dont know what to expect at any givin moment. Also think of like this, do most people who get motion sickness in a car do so as the driver or passenger. I know for me when I go 4 wheeling if I;m not the one behind the wheel my stomach gets a little twist> jason

First off dont get me wrong I completly know what your saying about the safety issues, however his plane is a wing over the top, not a byplane so you could exit hanging off the strut like you would a cesna. Secondly I dont plan on doing this any time soon as I am just getting ready for AFF in the next week or two. So it would be a loooooooong time before I would even think of trying it. I was just curious if it is leagal for future reference. But I do apprecaite all the input and advice!!!! jason

My dad is a pilot of a small acrobatic plane. My question is would it be leagal for him to take someone up (say me when I get good) and jump or does faa have certain regs. I read in the skydivers handbook about being a jump pilot but does that only apply to work at a DZ? jason

Hey carrie as I'm sure you already know this , its all about who ya know!! My wife has a tracker and we had to have the tranny rebuilt, did some askin around and found a friend of the family that does this stuff. Come to find out hes kinda on the inside with certain dealers and I found out that a company called RPM makes all the parts for all diff makes and models of vehicles. They then sell them to the dealers for jacked up prices. Well he got them for RPM cost. Total for me 560$ for both sets of gears , 300$ labor jason

Yup that was the one I saw. The funny part was when they landed. the camera flier said "hey can you guys give him a hand" and they all(spectators) started clapping and cherring and then he said "noooo... he needs help!! I think they said he broke his back but he was going to be all right

I saw on REAL TV these two guys that would jump out w/ a bungee cord and one guy would put his chute while the other guykept falling and did a bungy off the other!!

Please take extreme caution however when being involed with scuba/skydiving. We would hate to read about someone burning in because they got confused and jumped outa the plane with an airtank or drown cause they jumped in the water with 30 some odd pounds of parchute equipment on there back jason

Well I guess I'll just have to see how it goes then. I know for I while they'll be loven me with AFF cost and then renal prices. But worst case sinario I could drive to the other DZ (1 hr away) if it ever got bad. I think I'm more or less just psyching myself out. ITs just when your investing so much money into something you want everything to go right but then again we live in an unperfect world. Thanx for all your input jason
