I just made a couple jumps this weekend where the temp at alt was -4 degrees c. I wore my neoprene tops and bottoms with a longsleeve shirt and baggy pants then put my jump suit over it. Wore a protec helmut and regular new gloves. During the climb out and FF I had no problems but as soon as I got my canopy rolled up to start walking back....YYEEEEEOOOUUUCCHHHH!!!!! my hands hurt like a beetch...but that only lasted a few minutes!!!! my face was fine in the air!! jason

You have nothing to worry about with the bungy. I jump one and have had no problems with it at all. When it come to hopnpops remember you are already going approx 80 mph when you exit so if you will have sufficiant airspeed to deploy secs after you leave . I have researched this topic with my DZO/senior rigger, and he told me you only need approx 40 to 50 mph to inflate the bungee. However I was told the if doing a static type jump meaning balloon or helo to fall at least 1000 ft before deploying to issure inflation. Now whe it comes to having to bail out of a plane at 1500 ft, I'm going for reserve. Thats weather I have a bungee or kill line. jason

I cant speak from any experiance but if you watch the breakaway vidoe, they say to cutaway and hope for the best but they also said that if you cutaway there may not be sufficiant drag to release the three ring assem. But what ever you do ,, do something cause something is better than nothing!! jjason

So who all going to be jumping at the holiday boogie Dec 28-30th?. Myself and my friend are going to be driving down on the 27, and will be there probably at night and camp at the DZ.. So whats the weather like there in Dec? YEEHAAW I'm so excited. I heard there going to have ballon jumps, helo jumps and DC-3 jumps, Although I 'll probaly only be able to afford to do one of the specailty jumps. I think I'd like to do the ballon jump (see post "ballon jump"). Anyway hope to meet some you down and do some jumpin. jason

I would love to learn how to fly. My dads a pilot so I started flying with him when I was 13yr old. When I told him I was going to take up skydiving he said why dont you take a pilot coarse instead. My answer ...$$$$$$. Yes skydiving is an expensive sport but flying is even more expensive. But the way I look at it ... he took the tests, got his own plane and has been flying ever since, I took the coarse ,got my own gear, and have been jumping ever since (ever since apr 10 that is). So I dare say we have a lot to talk about between us. One day when the kids are grown up and the handles get too hard to pull then I'll hopefully geta licence. But right now I've got waaaaay more than enough to learn skydiving!! jason

I guess right now I'd have to say RW, because its what I've been practicing with the most. But I've also started dableling in FF and have done a couple twoway sits that where really fun(horny gorilla style), plus I've been getting better at holding a solid sit. I guess my main reasoning for going RW is that its a chance to jump with other people right off the bat, where as in FF you need to learn the dif postions before you can saftly jump with others(corking). So for me its a catch 22 because if someone says hey lets do a ## way, its a chance to jump with people wear as Right now I cant go up to some FFers and say wanna do a 3 way sit, because I am not good enough yet and to get good meand practicing by myself, which is still fun but to me not as fun as flying with other people. AHHHHHHH!!!! what to Do!!!!!!!!! Long term I'm looking at being able to do both RW and FF to get into the hybrid dives. I'd really like to try those some time. And then fly camera!!! But with only 57 jumps I still got a long way to . jason
