I just recently saw "cutaway" and I'd have to say I have some respect for that baldwin brother. If you watch his comentary on the DVD he made over 50 skydives for that movie, all the face shots of him jumping are real , along with maxine ???(the girl) and tom barenger, and he holds an A lic in skydiving , plus has over 4 hrs in the wind tunnel. So although the movie may have been a little cheesy what other actors can say they put out a descent skydiving movie,,,,, Charlie SHeen(term volocity) NOT!!!, That guy from DROPZONE (snipe or stipe???) I DONT THINK SO!!! jason -
this is just a ????? I'm not trying to sound cocky but how hard is it to fly a jump plane? I mean as far as I can tell you just have to be able to compensate for the sudden lose of weight and keep a nice level path and stable airspeed, but how tricky is all this. I'm not saying I could do this , I'm just wondering from any of you pilots how hard is it! jason

I can guarenty my JM was looking at my eyes. I think it was LVL5 jump (backflips) I did my first back flip good and then went into my second and kinda got stuck on my back ( little bit of panic on my part being first time on my back) anyway I pulled through the flip and when I landed the first thing my JM said to me was "man you should have seen you eyes!!! they were as big as soucers going through the second flip!!" So I know there really paying attention ! jason

Agreed about the sking.......the one joke I've heard from freinds of mine that are black is that " the brothers hate the cold"!! ( thats a direct quote by the way). But the hole $$$ issue doesnt really fly with me to much because if you want something bad enough you'll get it no matter how long it takes, as long as your motivated enough. I am not rich by no means but I really wanted to become a skydiver so it took giving up some things to get there ( few gallons of my plasma for starters). Me personally ...I'll fly with anyone... jason

I was told from pretty reliable source at my DZ that some riggers are now going to a propack for reserve canopies. I was just wondering any of you riggers, what your thoughts might be on this, have any of you done this, and are there only certain types of reserves that should or can be packed like this? jason

I pull usaully around 2800ft and my protrak shows me consistenly at 2500-2600 ft. Except fpr that high pull in the rain jason

Instead of having to go smaller to go faster just gain a few more pounds to make you wing load heavier!!! I stopped renting from them a year ago when I found out that they make over 2.4billion dollars /yr in late fee charges. Come to find out you have a 12 hr grace period, but when they tell you when the movie has to be returned they dont mention that the grace time is included in that. FUCK THEM RIGHT IN THE EAR!!!!!!! jason
