If you want to get the helo, just backtrack out and let the wingsuit come to you. They can't inflate too soon though, or they get tail-whipped. I think the coolest video would be to exit after the wingsuit and chase him to deployment. Face one videocamera backward and one forward, and it would show the same basic thing from two perspectives. Know what, Mac? Now that I think about it, just mount the rabbit cam and have your subject chase it. Have the subject stand on the edge of the basket, and the rabbit stand on the step. Reay-set-go! CLICKCLICKCLICKCLICK! I'm on! Send me a ticket to Hollishland! -

Tandem Instructors: What do you write on student's certificates?

On the certificate? Absolutely. Ours are totally suitable for framing. What he said. Ours our pre-printed certificates, we use the laser printer to put the name on there in script, and we just sign them. We give them to the student with a bumper sticker with our phone number for their car, and a brochure about tandem skydiving and the AFF program. Then we ask them to sign our logbooks while we harness up the next one. -

Ach. Well, I have "aristocratic" bone structure, and have broken my ankles a few times. The McDavid product line is the most comfotable, but they are expensive, depending on what amount of protection you get. The Swede-O ankle braces, with the plastic inserts work well, but are uncomforable to wear all day. When I was jumping while my broken ankle healed (read: was jumping with a broken ankle) I wore two neoprene ankle braces (they only really just keep the ankles warm) and the Swede-O ankle braces on the outside of that. Worked pretty good, and wasn't too uncomfortable. Just finished reading the complete speech. "War, war against terror, war, our mission against terror, war...war....." "Hyperboles" on every single of total 8 pages? Líke everybody I know, who is writing those speeches. It's never made by speakers itself. This special one nevertheless, simply sounds ... somewhat special, somehow frightening, in total awful .... This is why the left will lose. It is not about speechwriters, it is about the middle. The right understands and resonates with the middle better. The message is tailored to the listener. The left, via the Democratic convention, failed miserably in targeting their message at the undecided middle. Calling Giuliani's speech "awful" shows that bias. The middle ate that speech up. I thought it was artful.

I'm sure you could probably download a copy of it from the GOP website. Giuliani was just great. The guy is a great orator, but without seeming condescending. McCain is a popular politician, but Giuliani's delivery, and the way he made his case, showed him to be the sharp New York City prosecutor he was. Yeah, Giuliani has some pretty heavy baggage, but nobody has been able to make an issue of it. With Giuliani on the Bush Bandwagon it seems likely that the "undecided"s will swing Bush. I know that Kerry/Edwards must have some hideous October Surprise in store, but by then Kerry may be out of the race completely. Interested to see what Arnold has to say tonight.
