The "beer bong" was a biggie in my day. Two or three beers in a clear plastic tube swallowed in a gulp. I just heard about a wine snorkel and figured I'm slightly out of touch. What're some of the ways people are getting plastered before they learn better?

So please update it, Kim. I care about you and the sport, and I'm not alone. What limited experience I have is more likely to be shared with someone like you, who is working hard to get the experience necessary to teach others, than to share with someone who is inexperienced and has a desire to teach at the minimum allowable skill level. I'm glad you chose to participate in the game. My team is exclusively first-year 8 year olds, with one third-year 12 year old who just can't be bothered to come to practice. (my league is 8 to 12 years old, so we are obviously getting the crap kicked out of us every game, but we are taking great pride in our improvement) The 12 year old hates getting beat. She could have been a real motivator to our little ones, but she has chosen to have other things be more important. You may just be the motivator that turns that team around next year. I hope so. JP

You are a much better softball player than you are a tandem master (you're brand-new, and actually have pretty low numbers for a tandem master) Honor your commitment to your team. You may choose skydiving over softball from now on, but finish softball big! Remember why you play!

To add to what Bill said, it's clear that you know something of regulation, from your website. Coupled, however, with your stated ignorance of the skydiving industry, your criticism chafes. Skydiving, you may discover through experiencing it, is one of those things that is in actuality quite unlike what people expect. So before stating that something about skydiving is "ridiculous" and somewhat condescendingly advocating some regulation or other to make it less so, spend a summer packing parachutes and skydiving. -

I print them with a mass producer on printable media DVD's I got to produce the Dropzone.com boogie DVD's PM me for a quote. I am a cheap as can be. Whorishly so. What you can do is pre-menu a single DVD with your "commercial" and I can print the DVD's with the graphics and the intro which you then dub the tandem to. I'm sure anybody who does duplication can do this, but my overhead is nada. Contact me if you're interested. JP

I haven't looked in there for 91,000 posts. I've decided to take a peek every 100 thousand or so. I find I miss Talkback, which mixed politics with anything posted by GFD. Kinda like cioppino, a nice mixed stew, rather than just a giant radioactive steaming heap of vitriol.

Cigular Treo 650 Palm phone. Amazing interface. Like dial up, but a little faster, and on a phone. Amazingly wicked-cool! I log on though my regular process on the phone, I see the pictures of Betsy and everything on the home page, select what I want from the forums, and post. Very convenient for making church more interesting.
