Yeah! When you name-drop the von Novacks people usually let you pass. And it's not a bar it's a hipster doofus comedy venue. Good thing it's in the safe I guess. Some amateur blew about a half gallon of creamed corn and Yukon Jack in the aisle. Probably would've been a good shoot, but I'm a lover not a fighter!

I'm at the Warfield theater in San Francisco where the Insomniac tour with Dave Attel is abou to begin. The bar manager took my pistol. I guess I looked like a possible Dave Attel asassin.
-
So the guy asks me if I've got a weapon and I say yes. He says "really? what?" I say "a .45 Both Billvon and Amy have shot it. Why are you oppressing me?" Make a long story short Victor the bar manager has my pistol in his safe. Dave Attel momentarily. You wish you were me. The Warfield is cool.

Tim, I'm wondering if this is a symptom of British culture, or what. Having experienced the "Bigger, faster, cheaper" essence of Yankee culture, you appear to be dissapointed in your countrymen's resistance to that. The whole European "club skydiving" thing is resistant to pay per service, it seems to me (and I am probably completely wrong) In a club situation, everybody comes up at a certain rate. A shit-disturber like you who wants to come up faster than that, and is willing to pay for the privelidge is problematic. Fortunately or unfortunately, we Americans are used to people with money getting treated better. If you want to be ready for US nationals in six months and have the dollars, you can be a tunnel rat and turbine queen and get there. I don't quite get why qualified jumpers in the UK aren't willing to bring you along for jump ticket plus pack job (which is what I charge for coach jumps). Culturally, maybe there is a "dirtyness" to taking your money for something that would be done for free, I don't know. I have no problem jumping with a jumper who has a low skill level, and having them pay my costs (no profit, slot and pack job). I enjoy teaching, and the student progresses much faster than they would just guessing about what was going on. Eventually you get so good I can't take your money in good conscious, and I invite you on my skydives cause you are good. That's the way I did it. I will never forget my coach, Hank Kolross, he took my money until he got me to the point where he said "I got nothing left to teach you. Let's go skydive" Best money I ever spent. You UK guys should take the money. Teach them to be good enough to jump with you for free.

OK, clearly one skydive was not enough. Clearly you are still quite insane. A really good kiss obviates the need for lube. Grab her hip bones, kiss her like you mean it, and mount up. (HAH! I got to use "obviate" in a sentence!)

I'm envious. Very, very cool.

My Man, I would be all over that if Connie and Vic weren't going out of town this weekend. You already hooked up for Nationals? Come by Byron one of these weekends. The new A2 tandem canopies are fun to fly, if you haven't already. Good luck and have fun!
-
I stopped in and said hi. Soshutthefuckup.
-
Are you driving, too?
-
Until you piss off Bill, then you'll be doing 4-way out of the King Air at Byron with the other ex-Lodi team! (It is pretty funny, Ed Yeah, Lodi is less expensive) Take the time to try them all out, Kel. Each DZ has a unique vibe. My experience as a low timer was that Byron had the easiest in to RW that was not consistently funnelicious. I look forward to meeting you. JP

Happy birthday to you and Q! (We have to be nice to Q or he'll pull our ratings...)
-
Huh. They're pretty cool planes, and I guess I'm spoiled from jumping out of the SDA one so many times. I always get some oil on my lenses doing the cross-country thing out of that bird. The coolest one ever was at Perris's Memorial Day boogie, I guess it was three years ago. Turbine with 5 blade props. Super fast, quiet, and comfortable with just a mat floor. I'd like to jump that one again sometime.
-
What makes it "super"? Is it a turbine conversion?
-
It was something to see. And it was really wonderful how everybody stayed cool and took care of business. Would there be any point in taking up a collection for grass seed while it's all plowed up and fertilized? It's obviously too late for it to do much this year, but maybe over the winter it would be nice?
-
Oh man, and I thought my drunk-Swedish-foam-bath picture was embarassing.
-
I've been at it a little longer, and I'm here to tell you, suck it up because the more you let yourself feel down, the less prepared you will be when things get even worse. You're dry and fed, and that's pretty cool. Hang in.
-
I know what you sold it for, and by definition, that is what it was worth. It's yours to do whatever you wanted with it. Seems to me getting the same footage with a helicopter with a steadycam would be a helluva lot more expensive than what I thought the footage was worth. Anybody know what it costs to run a news chopper?
-
Yeah, what a way to meet someone for the first time. I'm in the creeper area for the 121 way sequential and this live-wire redhead comes charging over and loudly mounts up and goes at it on my leg like a horndog rottweiler. "That was from Skybitch" and she kisses my ear and walks away. Me and 119 people or so were speechless. Priceless.
-
Happy Birthday!
-
What was the per-second value of the footage that the television crews used that the skydivers at Byron shot?
-
Stand-up? Me. According to TallGuy. He thinks I could actually make a living on the boogie circuit. What does he know? Chuwhakachah?
-
What are the chances of FREE tandem jump?

You refer a real estate buyer or seller to me that results in a closing and I'll take you for free. Video too! -
Seriously? Did you get one? Good. You owe me one for taking my Birdman suit to Klingon.
