    I had a sprained knee in Eloy last year, and butt-slid all my landings. AggieDave leant me a great brace that kept me in the air. I didn't need crutches, but only barely. When I broke my ankle at Perris this past spring I was jumping two weeks later with it immobilized, also butt-sliding all of my landings. One gopher hole in that condition would have put me in surgery in both situations. So, since I got away with it, it was great. I got to meet some great new peeps at the American Boogie and jump with them when the Dr. had me "grounded". If I had screwed it up, I would have hid for about a year. So it comes down to this: "Do I feel lucky?", well do you, funks?

    I think I just got excited again!!! It was a little cool by the end of the day but the view was definitely worth it! Arthur, want to do a balloon jump with me this year? We'll get Deuce for video! And stills. No full-face helmets. To get on the cover, they want to see your smiles!

    You'll have the best at this one. Both Scott and SM1 are astounding drinkers. They're both Army, like you, and both clinically insane. Those are my votes. I've talked to Jari on the phone, and he handed me off so he could drink beer, so I like him too. Plus Betsy. I would like to see you fly a suit with Betsy. Heck, I just like seeing Betsy. I think you are in for a tour in the Big Bird suit. You're only just enough shorter than Tall guy to be able to wear the booties.

    Dude, you're making it sound like catching athlete's foot or getting a yeast infection or something. While you are rooting around in your bag looking for that big old can of whoopass, I will apply a thin coating of antifungal cream on you and then continue on to dominate the sky. (I'm talking shit as I check my porch every couple hours waiting on that m*therf*cking brown truck to show up with a package from Florida )

    I feel your pain. Unless you are feeling pain in a National Socialist kind of way. I suspect you are only feeling Commercial Airline Pilot kind of pain, though, and that is directly related to skydiving. So, yeah. I feel your pain.

    Yeah, what he said. Resolution with my 10D exceeds what I was able to get with film at big enlargement sizes.

    There's only one Digital Rebel, it's the consumer-level digital SLR. I got to handle Iwan's this weekend, and it's a nice camera. for $999 you are ready to go with a lens that you can use for skydiving. The only drawback is that it's almost half as fast/slow. About 30 shots in 60 seconds versus almost a shot a second after the 9 frame burst with the 10D. The digital rebel gives up a 4 frame burst followed by about a frame every second-and-a-half or so. I think for tandem and AFF where you are shooting a script, pretty much, it would be fine. For a sky full of freefliers doing whacky shit every second, I would be frustrated by it.

    Go digital. Get a 10D if you can afford it and have a sturdy neck, or get the Rebel Digital if you're a little short on dollars and/or neck. The 10D is nearly twice as fast in informal testing this weekend with Iwan's DRebel vs. my 10D. That DRebel is WAY LIGHTER in the hand and on the head.
