Connie Krusi is a great, consistent tandem master and is about 5'4". She really uses leverage to flare the canopy, and uses a different body position to do it than some of the beefier TM's. On that note, we have a male tandem master who does not have enough upper body strength for the job, in my opinion. I think the gear matters too. All the TM's at my DZ really like the new Aerodyne tandem canopy for it's flare characteristics. But no matter what, do it because you want to. Not because someone else does. It's a big responsibility. I'll tackle that one after I get my AFF. I still like the camera thing best, though.

I got a Neptune a while back and during an ascent one of the buttons popped loose, the top one. (the way I had the screen oriented at the time). Anyhow, the button being loose deprived me of the top button functions, so I sent it back, unannounced describing the problem. I have, in my hands, a new unit and a set of coolio screen protectors. Also very muy pronto response. Thank you Altimaster! You have made me glad I bought your product! (Now sponsor me and send me money!)

Pookie is the nickname of Farrah Doolittle. She was the first person I took reverse pictures of, and I like the alliteration of "PookieCam". She's also the first rodeo I took out, so she will always owe me beer.

Gimp found the old thread and bumped it in error.... I'll be down the whole time jumping and taking pictures and video of anybody who will risk jumping with me. We're also going to be doing a boogie video like we did for the Holiday Boogie. So make sure you get at least a couple of jumps in with me and Quade so we can immortalize you on the DVD. I'm sure I can depend of Gimp and the Hollish guy to give me some good footage too. Featured at this event will be VanillaSkyGirl on the RodeoPookieCam. Should be a lot of fun, hope to see old friends and make some new ones.

I'll see you that afternoon, Jake, then I'm headed back home for a few days, then back down for the boogaloo and then AFF at Skydive SoCal through the 7th. It's going to be nice to see some folks I don't get to see that often.

I don't simmer much anymore, bad for the digestion. I would like to see Novak in the Bombshelter with you and vonNovak solving the world's problems. Purely as a spectator, though. And maybe at a safe distance.

It's just more stuff guys made up to make them sound important when they talk about stuff. Trust me, I'm a guy and I used to go to the meetings when we planned this strategy. It allows for neato arguments about nothing: "Nice pistol!" "It's not a pistol, it's a revolver" -BLAM!- (dickhead...)

I've got a Dakota Quad Cab 4X4 with the 287 V-8. It's muy quick, gets about 20 on the freeway, and has a big enough box for the stuff I haul around, like my motorcycle from time to time. It has leather seats and power puff girl floormats.

Then don't get a Rossi. Since you know something about guns and care more about function, I'll give you my impression that the fit and finish of them is lousy. The trigger pull is so bad and gets worse that they are not any fun to shoot. As to calling it a pistol or a revolver, I really should care more.

It's a very cost-effective revolver. If it's just for self-defense, it's a thrifty choice. The drawbacks to them are that they have heavy, rough trigger pulls that are difficult to "tune". A better pistol is the Smith and Wesson, and that one has a trigger that is easily made glassy smooth. If you just want a short barelled revolver for self-defense, and don't plan on spending a lot of time working on your accuracy on the shooting range, there's nothing wrong with the Rossi.

I saw it and I thought it completely sucked. The warrior mentality was completely misunderstood by that director. Angst was not an emotion Achilles would have spent much time with. Guys like that really enjoy battle, and not once did we see Brad show how much fun it was to slay his enemies. I was very surprised, but "The Last Samurai" actually did a great job on the warrior mentality. Bleh.

No, Ingrid didn't stand it up, but nobody has, yet, on me. Who has been surfed? What I want is a full-on silver surfer, surf. I know it can be done, but it is a balance of forward and vertical speed I haven't been able to provide, yet. This is what happens when there aren't enough Birdmen around to do regular birdman stuff with. I took Evan Mortimore out today and he almost had it. Then I watched a close up of a Tandem cutaway, but my cameras were all mounted backwards. Ack. The rodeo-surf thing is great fun when there aren't enough other suits around. I miss my S3 brothers and sisters, though.
