Favorite location worldwide, I'm gonna go there if you tell me to
Deuce replied to kansasskydiver's topic in The Bonfire
Ack. Like heck they do. I hated being down there and being able to read the paper and not being able to have a conversation with people . When I'm in a pub and the bar woman asks me if I want a "midi" I expect to see her belly button. Not get a "medium-sized" beer. I expect you and your mates will be laughing like mad at me when I try and order drinks in your town, NacMac. Actually, Kansasskydiver, if you haven't been to Oz and New Zealand it is REALLY worth the trip. -
Well, since you left the telling of the tale to the Z-man, I hope it includes being shot at by vampire bats with lasers on their heads. Or maybe you put sharks with lasers on their heads in the swoop pond? Anything other than the old "I turned too low and didn't bail in time" saw.

Nice work, W!

I'm in London and Edinborough next week. Gothenburg Sweden after that. I'll let you know. However, I'll be with Skreamer on my last leg through London, I'll have help from Caz on my first leg, and I'll be skydiving the whole time I'm in Sweden. Like I said, I'll let you know. JP -
I won't do that, but I'd like to revoke your ability to call yourself a skygod. Something like "skydumbass" until you heal up and stop doing stupid shit? Love, JP

One of the things I have found about skydiving photographers is that once they have found something that works, they tend to stick with it. I shoot JPEG, shutter priority 1/500, at ASA 100. If I'm shooting flash I shoot at a higher ASO, but not higher than 400. If, as a photographer you have suggestions and questions, bring them! And, as the customer, I'll do whatever settings you'd like after telling you what I use that I know works.

The Meta-Data states quite clearly that that is one FINE looking Wings container!

:1:1 How the heck did you break vertebrae in the wind tunnel? I dropped by the DZ on Friday just in time to be needed to do a tandem. Lucky me. The landing was a little hot, and the passenger tangled my leg on the landing and I -stretched- all the tendons and ligaments in my left knee. Again. Back in the air next weekend with my new-for-Europe Wings containers! See you at Herc!

Dude, you're on fire today. First the Winsgs post, now this. My oldest vehicle is a 99 Taurus.
-
Yes I do. But since they aren't joking, they PM me.

THat made my day!

Is your Dad a television repair man with a killer set of tools?
-
This is eerie, eh?
-
No it won't break. Keep the rubber side down.

The fact that I am in Northern California nullifies that statement You're probably still cool from your time on that glacier.

Ugh. Congrats, Seb. At least it's a motorcycle. Here's a picture of one hundreds of miles from it's garage. Notice the rider does not look nervous about riding on for another 1000 miles if he wants to.
-
Ah. Getting current on your Scandiavian spelling, then.
-
Bah. You're only talking to the "Southern" California people.
-
Shame they had to airbrush you out of it. And you mis-spelled "Wings". Nutter.
-
Beat me to it. The Hokey Pokey, that is what it's all about. I mostly do it for the view.
-
I think they prefer "Bushies" or "Bushlets". What are the Gore people called? "Goreites"? "Gorians"? "Gories"? Yikes, that last one is pretty scary.

Huh. No doubt why I failed as a Government administrator. Actual observation of the situation should reveal the reality. Having sychophants reporting to you can dilute that. I always reassigned the sychophants and assigned a clerk as my personal assistant. Preferably a pissed off single mom version. Once they start to believe in you, they make the best assistants. Never needed a secretary. The pissed off clerk worked great. I was never a very good bureaucrat, though. -Hire me.

This is stupid. Betsy throws the best party. She's careful to invite the best partiers. I love that woman. I'll be there in December 2004.
-
Give me a job! Something for an experienced and highly qualifed bureaucrat/adminstrator. I'm also licensed to carry a gun in California, if you need that type of thing...

I don't think you'd guess in a thousand years who the last people I went shooting with were. Great fun. We'll do some shooting in a safe remote place at the Holiday Boogie. No armor required. The Europeans line up like mad for that stuff.
