Which method produces more speed for the swoop??

Most of you said that carving gives you more speed in time and longer swoops while snappy hook turn gives you more speed at the beginning but the speed bleeds of faster than at carve. if i understood that corectly. What i want to know is what kind of hooks do these guys do (team extreme). http://www.aerialfusion.com/Video8.html is this a snapy hook turn or a carve. it seems to me like it's something in between, but more on the side of snappy turn... about the feeling i can say only one thing: "I know why birds sing" it's an old and used phrase, but that's the answer. And you have feeling of falling only at baloon jumps or at base for first seconds. it is awesome. everyone should give it a try

How does one break in sit without speeding up? First i'm not very good at sit, actually i'm still learning how to go forward and backwards. and when i do a 2-way with a friend, we're not so close after exit so we have to get together. going forward and maintaining relative altitude, isn't a problem at all. if i'm too slow i just stand up a little bit, and i haven't been too fast at going forward yet. but when we are close enough to start brakeing, as i lean forward i always fall below him. i already have legs wide spread and arms straight to the sides. is there any trick to slow down fallrate when reducing forward speed (leaning forward)? Any advice is good. "George just lucky i guess!"

it's actually not hard to pack a reserve for racers. it's harder to close the container. because there are two pins. it's hard to explain why is it harder. go see a rigger how he packs a normal one pin container and then an old racer - two pin container, and you'll understand why they are pain in the ass for riggers. "George just lucky i guess!"

Wohoo slovenians kidnaped the thread. I hope you'll be able to see the rig in action next week. or at least a week afterwards. But that all depends on stane kranjec. when he gets me a demo (cobalt comp. 120, or his new impulse 120), the next day i'll be ready to test it

What chicks? we have skydiving chicks in slovenia? ooooh, you mean SOLT's chicks? They are not really chicks. they are chicks wannabes . But when true chicks do arrive, well then i hope you're right p.s.: All the girls reading this, don't be upset it's just "local joke" between almost all the guys here in slovenia. huh, obviously not. i thought it's the normal G4, but as you said it's not. if he really wants true cut ins i'd suggest get an odyssey, it stays in place (i think). if the true cut ins are not so important, get normal mirage G4.1 with elastic. It fits perfectly and is very comfortable too. at least mine on me.

thank you all for nice words, excluding nac of course rig was made in about one month (somewhere from end of february to the end of march) . i don't know exactly. it took longer to get it to Slovenia-Europe than making it But it's here now and all is good. it's MT size (max: 120 ZP Main, PD126 R) "George just lucky i guess!"

sorry i didn't mentioned it to you and gapi. I wanted to surprise you. but you ruined it this weekend. hmm i don't know i'll bring her, when i get demo cobalt c. 120, and put all together. I think it is the first tie dye in slovenia (excluding everything that is in Atair factory in Slovenia) and first mirage in Slovenia too. i Just hope it's as practial when jumping with it as it looks

How about flare turn? I mean what if you started flared turn (carved swoop) and when you would lost speed continue with flat turn. it sounds possible but i never tried it? any thoughts... "George just lucky i guess!"

do i see correctly? has this rig anything else from hip bone to bottom of container but elastic strap. i can't see from the picture. but it seems like there is no harness between the hip ring and the bottom of container. or is the harness there 10 inches long. On my container harness that binds bottom of container and hip ring is 3 inches long at most. on the picture it looks like that part is 10 inches long, if there is any harness there (ass i said, i can't see) And i tried puttin my G4 on and a friend pushed on the bottom of container, as the wind would do in a sit. it doesn't move a bit. i'd get that rig inspected. it's just to weird... huh, i have the same problem. i do just do a little of both. but i still mostly jump FF because i like it more. What really bothers me is that you are like an outsider in each group. Freeflyers don't take me completely in their "family" because i'm a belly flyer and at FS the same. This sucks! Why can't we just fly our bodies in the air. and be one big family !!! That's why i like swooping so much. no matter what you fly, you always "have to" swoop at the end "George just lucky i guess!"

huh, no i didn't ask for it. i thought it is included by default. it's hard to say in words how it's connected. especialy if english is not your mother language if you have new mirage g4, you can see in manual how it is connected. But i didn't get the fancy pent's - elastic for leg straps. Did you get them? I asked bill about that, so i'll wait for the answer, before saying that anything is missing if maybe wasn't supposed to be there... "George just lucky i guess!"

Oh yeah i forgot to mention. The thing that is currently packed inside it, is good only for drying/wiping (i don't know the word ) when you get out of the pool or shower. it's towels that are packed inside, so i could see the shape of it. i don't have the main yet, so i didn't bother to pack the reserve, you see in the back of one of the pics, yet. "George just lucky i guess!"

I finnaly got my Mirage G4. Pictures show much more than words can say, so check it out p.s.:pictures are captured from hi8 video camera, so they are not best quality "George just lucky i guess!"

i think, why mirage did it this way is that you can have both. with cutin or without some people don't like cutin backpad. so at mirage g4 you can easily take it off. or have it on if you like. No it sure isn't very strong because "cutin" is made of elastic, and it only snugs you gently around the waist, and gives you the feeling that container is part of you. it's not part of the harness. harness around the waist is made just like G3. I just got mine G4 and so far i like the mirages so called "cut in" better than odisseys. why? try putting mirage g4 on naked skin and odissey. Mirages cutin is made of soft elastic, while odyssey cutin is made of "harness material" (i don't know english word for this material) without ant foam underneath or anything that would soften the feeling. btw i had javelin odyssey on my back on naked skin too. but then again odyssey wasn't custom made for my body, but mirage g4 is.
