Why... take drugs of course! lol No seriously, it's most important to me that nobody think I discredit the answers we have. Like I have posted, I am very happy my mother had the opportunities she did to help right herself... chemicals though they may be. I'm just preaching away like the crazed, side-of-the-street prophet that I am because I think it truly takes a collection of minds thinking along the same pattern for things to change. So "In the meantime", I would say it is best to do the best we can. i.e. Use the solutions we have developed. But do so understanding that we are young as beings. We need to explore ourselves more... We need to know we are capable of much more; to agree that we are all capable of much more... does that make any sense? So when do you come off the walker for the crutches? When do you come off the crutches for the cane?... and when do you burn the cane and walk on your own two feet? I feel it worthy to note that when I busted my leg in an accident, I went from bed, to walker, to crutches to cane... the cane was the only thing I had to go out and buy myself. My father said something very interesting: "Son, make sure you buy an ugly cane." He said people walk around in their old age with canes they could have done away with a long time ago but coming off it is such a minute step that it's really hard to recognize. Before long, it is accepted that this is just the way. That they will always be more comfortable with it. He presented buying an ugly one just to add that little bit of extra desire to rid myself of it. Drugs are... ugly (?).. in my opinion. (Edited for spelling) My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

This is not a troll. It is not a self proclaimed extensive knowledge of pshychiatry or of any other scientific profession. It is a thing of faith and no more. And the 100th monkey phenomenon is what... makes things so. In a world where we create our own realities and are limited by no more than what we, as a collective, beleive is possible and not. This is where some of you write off my posts as hippy-tree-huggin-friend-of-Jesus-Talk but hey... I just might be crazy you never know. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

I'm starting to worry that you might be "Certifiably Whacko" Granted I am using the term a little liberally...

Well, apply de-clawing's "successful results" against a cats ability to ruin furniture to your current dilema... you could simply remove it's teeth! lol. I was going to say water bottle too but if that's just not working... Go and get yourself a bottle of Bitter Apple. This is stuff you spray on a dog when they sometimes develop hot spots from constant licking... or when they have a wound they won't leave alone but is not great enough for the lamp-shade. Spray your hands with the stuff (they say it is odorless but you may smell a hint of it... not unlike rubbing alcohol) and then present your hands to the cat, see that it sniffs you and continue to reinforce with a stern "NO!" if it looks like it's about to bite. The key here is that the cat gets a taste for the nasty stuff and is turned off of biting ya so you may have to sacrifice yourself for one or two bites before it gets the idea. Hope you make out with all your digits!

re: 5 canopy skills... new article

Granted! But pulling high is one thing, at least you have (or should have) your own column of air to pull high in. I was even more concerned with the "I have left countless jumps early because..." part. Leaving the jump early? Is he suggesting you start tracking for the DZ before your planned break off altitude? I'm a noob but it seems as though this is bad advice... or at least could be misconstrued in such a manner as to get someone hurt. Leaving your jump 'early' causes confusion among the other jumpers on your dive, leaves them guessing at where you are when it comes time for them to break off and pull and also, could place you at greater risk of entering another groups airspace. Am I missing something? My Karma ran over my Dogma!!! -
Whicked-good show! Thanks for sharing, that was cool. Nick My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

Neither of you must care about America since you're both just providing a bunch of Hot Air. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

Oh I certainly do! And it's not hope, it's knowledge. I know that disorders can be 'cured' via will and will alone. Moreso, just sort of 'cease to exist' as oppose to exist needing to be cured. It just involves a butt-load more positive thinking. It must first become common knowledge... the 100th monkey phenomenon to make it real. Granted I used the term a little liberally... like "Certifiably Whacko" lol. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

For the most part, when I put one foot in front of the other and repeat, I can get around pretty well. I guess you could say that I walk right.... for the most part. Kelly, I want to go to McDonalds! My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

Hi Matthew, My vote goes for the tracking dive. That's what I did for my 100th. Thing is IMO, it's the best way to get many people involved and keep it relatively simply and safe. I did a 16 way track, it was the first time I was ever in the air with that many bodies... just fantastic! And I know there were people on that dive that could not have come with me if I had had someone plan me into something more complicated you know what I mean? Anyway, whatever you decide, have a great one!! Nick My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

Hey I hadn't realised you live in Ontario. Me too! Anyway don't worry about cops coming in and the repercussions to them finding weed. repercussion = cops smoke your weed lol. Just kidding, of course if you are worried, do some homwork. But with the quantity you have described, and you yourself not using it, I'd say you are at minimal risk. Especially being that you are school roomates. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

I shall re-evaluate myself based on this post of yourS stranger. Thanks. Nick (the less rampant one ) Edited to add: I'm still hoping this one goes well for ya. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

I'm not crying victime at all here Slappie. Just thought I'd take a second stab at it. If you cool down a sec, you'll see I never once said anything against ya. Hey, but it ain't my vehicle nor my driving ability in question... in short, it ain't my bitch. Your loss. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

I really don't give a rats ass.... [snip] ----------------------------------------- Start giving one. I know you were frustrated but don't shoot the messenger. In most places, who's at fault for damages is determined by rules and charts legislated. Don't get like that with me Slappie. I'm only trying to help. It doesn't matter what you want. It matters even less how you feel about it. Re-read the portion of my post that you have quoted above. Think of it's implication. Without that difference being there. I could sue a truck driver because I ran into a log which fell off his truck last week!!! Obviously, I'm the idiot in that sort of case. Shit happens and the driver has a responsibility to keep his load on the truck. But you also have a responsibility to follow at a safe distance. Stuff falls off of trucks sometimes and if it hits the road, you should be able to get around it. Now instead of answering how you don't give a damn. Think about what this means to you. I didn't expect a thank you but I CERTAINLY didn't expect you to lash out at me. I personaly don't give a fuck how your shit turns out... but I'd like to hear you did well. So just tell them the stuff didn't hit the ground first okay? I wasn't posting to argue with you. I was posting to give you some pointers on how best to deal with insurance and lawyers. Ladies and gents, I present you with the second reason why your insurance rates are so high. It's the: "If they refuse to work with me I'll... I'll..." claimant. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

No Rebecca, but having not ever been depressed does not discount my opinion that one day, we will learn that drugs are a short cut. You won't convince me that there are no other ways to deal with these things. Perhaps undiscovered ways but ways that do not include chemicals nonetheless. What is it they say? We don't use more than some 10 percent of our brains? So then how is it you could be so quick to try and debunk someone who's opinion is that the answer lies within? I have never suffered through a clinical depression unless you count the several years my mother suffered from a severe one. You will be unable to tell me I don't understand. I didn't understand when she was suffering most. I do now. I am still certain that one day, the drugs she was given should be a thing of the past and there will be better ways to deal with what she was experiencing. I had once been prescribed something else for some other reason having to do with my inner-workings (that's about as detailed as I'm gonna get with that one)... that's quite another topic but still touches this concept. I outright refused to take medication to "fix" my head. Am I saying that all people that are on medication should do the same? Absolutely not!! But that there are far too many people on drugs that shouldn't be and the trend should be the opposite. Your brain is the factory, what it is to produce can be reprogrammed. How? ...buh? My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

Perhaps he's just ahead of his time? I am of the mind that though useful at times, phsyc drugs are only the short cut. It is my opinion that there is no mental disorder that cannot be rectified without the use of external chemicals. These options just aren't well explored. There was a recent study performed with different phobias where it was proven that if a person can truly bring themselves to examine and learn about what it is they are afraid of, be exposed to it and see there is no harm done, that the physical structure of the brain will change making it easier and easier to be exposed to the same stimulus without anxiety. The brain is ever changing. We simply don't know enough about it. I am of the mind that the results of this study span across all functions of the brain and that one day in the futur, our great-grandchildren will read about drugs like ridalin being used for ADD and liken it to the way we now read about labodomies having once being the cure for terrets syndrome. Am I too outspoken? My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

He really doesn't need to do anything you say. He is famous, living in the public eye. Why is it you feel we can sit on our fat asses, watching him take out his trash or having a fight with a loved one in a news papper or in some shitty Entertainment Tonight type show but he can't speak his own mind in the same forums? Fuck! You don't like it, don't listen. I hardly think you could find anything he said about Brook Shields personaly offensive to you. And Brooke is a big girl, if her feelings are hurt, she'll do something about it... and we'll sit on our fat asses in the morning and read all about it. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

That's the kind of BS that make people go to parallegal ambulance chasers in the first place. Now I can't speak of all states. But for the most part, I know your premiums are not affected by not at fault losses. Last post of the week! Have a great weekend everyone. ...good luck with the vehicle

I am in auto insurance. Though legislation is different from one place to the next, truckers are responsible to keep their loads on their trucks everywhere. Call an insurance regulatory body in your area and discuss the liability, then call the company and explain what happened. The sooner the better of course. You can threaten with a lawyer, but then you are just being an ass. I would simply state that either they pay, or you will go to your insurance company (who will in turn, be after them) That being said, if you decide to use your insurer, small tip: There is a BIG difference between something falling off the truck and hitting your car, and something falling off the truck, hitting the ground and bouncing up at your car. Also, if you are talking to insurance companies, Don't involve lawyers! [mini rant]Gawd dammit! using lawyers for insurance settlements is like using a theif to help you get your money out of the bank! They have no business getting between you and an insurer. Find out your rights by calling an insurance reglatory body and do it yourself. Don't just call a lawyer or, worse yet, a parallegal whose sole job is to take a cut. [/mini rant] My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

Do you know what you see? Or do you just beleive whatever you see? lol So the man is different. It's all that church of scientology stuff. Hell! They even say they've got a cure for homosexuality! lol. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
