Out of curiousity why not use a Samurai for cross country jumps? Not that I do a lot of those (1 in 200 jumps about) but does it descend that quickly? Any issues getting back from a long spot? oh, i do and have used my sam for crosscountry jumps, but something big and really glidy will get one further.... i'm talking take it out 15 miles crosscountry :) which a sam COULD do if the winds were right.... but my ass uder a sabre 230 is gonna glide farther than my ass under a sam150 me thinks. Such a loyal following says something about a canopy, though..... I love my Samurai, and though i'm not so fanatical that i won't ever jump anything else... i have little desire to own anything else as a primary canopy. have to ask sangiro about this for sure... but 9.77kb = 10,005 bytes..... K, so i was looking around on the mp3 server here at work and i found this mp3 that sounds quite cool, but has no identifying markings other than the filename. It sounds late 80s-ish Progressive rock/metal that i would almost mistake for Dream Theater if it weren't for the violin... yes.. violin... it's quite cool. Anyone know knows any prog stuff, please take a listen and see if you can tell me who this is.. it's only 1:30 long. hmmm.... i've got a 5 meg line in my office that i've been meaning to set up a UT server on anyway (outside the firewall).... maybe it's time i got 'round to it. THAT could stay on all the time.... now, to PW protect or not to PW protect? should it be a skydiver-only server? how many gamers are on here,? enough to keep it intersting? This one is encoded in WM8.... very strange. I was gonna put up a quicktime, but Cleaner keeps cutting out part of the 2nd intro... no clue why..t he rest of the thing goes fine.. change codes and it's ok. Anyway, i'll start session before i go to bed and make an mpeg4 AVI of it and upload it in the morning. probably quite sensible.. either that or make sure you've tethered the real one in a substantial way... that is unless yer doing it over teh deser or the everglades... still have to figure out the board, tho. He could have, but there are a couple of good reasons not to. 1) it's illegal, part 105.23423423 or somesuch states in a nutshell that when jumping from a plane you have to jump with a canopy that you don't intend to use in the normal course of the jump. 2) do you really want to use your actual reserve unless you really need to?
