so your DZ's spotting skills are probably well honed. Unfortunately that's not the case at most turbine DZ that i've been to. Hell, a lot of places seem to have WORSE spotting with GPS. In this age of widely available GPS receivers, there are suspicions in high places that, in order to throw off Iraqi units using GPS, the Military may be degrading civillian GPS accuracy, from ~3 meters to over ~100 meters most of the time, and occasionally ~300 meters. Read Here Probably not enough to hose a whole load on a plane with formally decent GPS spotting, but i can't think of many of those that i've been on. Exact Audio Copy is one of the best CD rippers out there, and it's freeware. You can use Winamp to convert mp3s into wav (in output (i think they change the menus here and there) there's a wave writer setting, you choose that, hit play, and it saves it out to a wav) For Editing, Goldwave is a decent audio editor for simple stuff (and a whole lot of functionality i've never dug into), it's not freeware, it's nagware, but you can D/L and use it for free. For re-encoding to MP3, LAME and RazorLAME (GUI front end to LAME) are a great choice for MP3 encoding...great quality and free. Install Lame and Razorlame before EAC and EAC will find LAME and use it to automatically rip CDs and convert to MP3. Hope this helps =) PM me if you need some guidance with any of these. Cessna182 Cessna185 Cessna180 Cessna Caravan Skyvan Casa Otter King Air Mullins King Air C130 Balloon Bell412 Helo Jetranger Helo Alouette Helo DC4 For small stuff, mullins is wonderful cause of the climb rate, altitude, spotting, etc... After that is the skyvan.. it's a tailgate and faster than most anything but mullins (at least Crosskeys and AZ skyvans). the whole christmas tradition is based on pagan ritual as well but more importantly.. and yes this is a threat if you fuck up easter and there's no more cadbury creme eggs i will hunt you down and feed you to the jersey devil piece by piece... got it??? 0:1:4 1 jump at JumpTown in Orange, Mass.. VERY nice place... friendly as all hell -- i showed up to deliver a canopy to someone, asked around to borrow a rig, and after getting across to the two nice people what i was NOT a 20-jump-wonder who wouldn't be able to handle a triathalon 135 at 1.7, was given a rig to use, immediately found someone to jump with, and made my first jump at Jumptown, first jump on a triathalon, first time borrowing gear from someone i didn't know, first jump with katie. After 2 months out i expected a lot of rust... but after we got our fallrates worked out, i turned on my head, parked myself right in front of her and just stayed there..... very sweet. thanks jumptown!!! -jerm Landing without injury is not necessarily evidence that you didn't fuck up... it just means you got away with it this time

Are you sure about that? I thought that these things were TSOed as a system, and therefore aren't necessarily tranferrable between systems, as you would not longer be using the system as it was approved in the TSO. Who is qualified do decide "as long as they will work"?
