  3. Me & Bobby McGee by: Kris Kristofferson and reinvented by Janis Joplin and how many others? The first tune I wanted to learn how to play on the guitar. She wrote him a letter telling him that "this is how it should be sung," Kris Kristofferson didn't know Janis had recorded it until after her death. Talk about singing a tune- the way it should be..... SMiles

  9. I read someones original thoughts that correlated very close to my own, then I lifted straight from the original source (Rafe Mair "Rants and Rafe" titled "Bible is not that easy to interpret") and changed it a little- then posted without citation to the original. ---You found a different source (copyright chilliwack 2004) than the original source I lifted from. Your source indicated copyright chilliwack 2004 without citation to Rafe Mair and wording very similar. My source: exactly, my post was plagarism and also the source you gave link to (copyright chilliwack 2004) was plagarism. You are not expected to believe anything you read, especially when posted by myself.
  10. 2.4°C here in Vancouver, B.C. Canada. Beauty sunshine, ...has been raining large for tooo long. Frosty in a.m. but do not mind it being a tad chilly when there is blue skies and sun- no wind I did not jump today (weener) but betcha many did
  11. Hey, I've just uploaded image gallery with thumbnails, linking to enlarge pics. Using Flash, each keyframe property is set to stop- then button properties are set to go to next frame- and stop. File size is huge for complete .swf file but I understood that because go to and stop /with keyframe properties set to stop/ would mean that only one frame is loaded at a time. Meanwhile I have high speed cable connection and cannot believe how long I have to wait until page loads----booooooooo If anyone has the time could you test it out for me and let me know if you have problemzzzzz waiting to load and clicking on "next" button??? Thanx. http://www.vancouver-skydiving.bc.ca/image.html SMiles
  12. I'm using IE and have not seen a pop up for months now......do not have adaware or spyware but my cable provider has added service to stop pop-ups 6 months ago. I cannot believe this is that hard to do and do not understand why this service is not provided by all?? SMiles

  15. exactly. I am not honest, nor do I have integrity. I read someones original thoughts that correlated very close to my own, then I lifted straight from the original source (Rafe Mair "Rants and Rafe" titled "Bible is not that easy to interpret") and changed it a little- then posted without citation to the original. You found a different source (copyright chilliwack 2004) than the original source I lifted from. Rafe Mair's editorial commentary has been widely published in newspapers: (Vancouver Province, Financial Post, Georgia Straight, Vancouver Courier) and on daily radio shows. All give citation to Rafe Mair. Your source indicated copyright chilliwack 2004 without citation to Rafe Mair and wording very similar. This says alot about my character and therefore you do not value me. This also says alot about your character, nice to have met you. SMiles
  16. ...you are using caps "STILL" I posted that: was inspired by Rafe Mair, .......are you dz.com's plagiarism cop? SMiles
  17. so many tunes fit differently to each individuals experience.. regardless if the lyrics include flight. For instance listening to Metallica 5.1 surround- "Nothing Else Matters"...while watching full screen "Year in the Life of Jeb 2003"---blows me away......... "So close, no matter how far Couldn't be much more from the heart Forever trusting who we are and nothing else matters" I absolutely luv the sounds made by Sigur Ros. Also tunes like: Castles in the Sky- Ivan Van Dahl God put a smile upon your face, Long way down, Learning to fly- Foo Fighters, ....... SMiles
  18. I am mulling over simplifying my life- possibly selling my home... I'm at an interesting time in my life right now, and luv the idea of pursuing change. I don't do boring. I could jump in a motorhome and spend months and months travelling even around my own province (B.C.) poking into all the hidden nooks and crannies, just deciding day by day what to do and where to go next?? Could I do that? Strip everything down to the bare essentials and go? (So easy when going to a dz) A large part of me screams "yes--go for it"....the other part of me just covers her eyes and ears. Extremely, stripped down and simple. Maybe a modern prefab for a home. Think Japanesque contemporary ranch house or modern California bungalow; don't think mobile home.?? 19. I stated I was not a christian in 2nd. line: Giving credit to the original author by citing sources is the only way to use other people's work without plagiarizing. ------citing the source of that line of info came from:http://www.turnitin.com/research_site/e_citation.html My buddy Rafe Mair : http://www.rafeonline.com/about.shtml inspired quite alot of my post (listen to his radio show almost daily)- also read recent editorial by him titled "The bible is not that easy to interpret".... Interesting the link you provided did not have citation to Rafe Mair, and the wording of that editorial is different? ahhh, the sinners today SMiles
  20. ya! Thanx, you are too reasonable- level headed (make a great skydiver!) Well I just spent $76.cnd. on material, and damn if it isn't 44 in. wide. He has written a certificate to me, "I will do all snow shoveling and other chores you need done through the winter for free!!"...what a deal. So----I am making each square 44 x 44 (screw the math!) and 12 squares sewn together, 3x4 ta da.....he is so excited to just glue the stars on, who cares how much "bag" each square has. SMiles
  21. ewe, I mean math problem... Project- room is painted red, hanging black material from ceiling that will be cut into even squares, sewn together with 1/2 inch seams, all sides. The corners of each square will be pinned to ceiling with brass tacks and material of each square will hang down a few inches from the ceiling, so guessing 4 inches extra for overhang? The black material will have stars (neon) glued to it....... hmmm (my nephew's plan) O.K.....the room is 135 in. by 102 inches. The material is 44 inches wide. Sort of figuring 12 squares but how do I do the math to measure them???? thanxs, SMiles
  22. The bible is not that easy to interpret for me. I am not a Christian but do try to read the Bible at times. Many churches are destroying themselves over the issue of “blessing” gay unions and haven’t even reached the point of homosexual marriage. They have lost members over the issue and splinter groups remain. I am talking about churches in the corporate sense. Some claim their interpretation of God’s word ends the matter. I must respectfully disagree. We mortals can only try to interpret God’s word and, I would argue, not enforce them, as that would be God’s prerogative. Instead of humbly admitting they are merely interpreters who hope they are right, they judge and, indeed, impose penalties. The cornerstone of Christian belief is the Bible. If it were easy to interpret, we would have one Christian church, not thousands. The books that make up the Bible were selected by the delegates at the Council of Nicea in 325 AD. The council decided what the “real” church was and thus expelled a number of what then became heretical “sects”, such as the Arians (in whom I’m beginning to have some interest.) Since that time of course, the church has split and splintered often over doctrinal matters. Fast forward to the issue of homosexuality, something Jesus didn’t refer to- even though, considering its prevalence, one might have thought He would have, had he been concerned about it. There are indictments against homosexuality, especially in Leviticus and the writings of St. Paul. For the sake of this discourse, let’s assume that, according to our reading of the Bible, it’s forbidden. The question now becomes, how do Christians treat those who practice homosexuality? They can, of course, expel them from their own corporate version of Christianity. Simply cast them out to find God as they can. It follows from this that they would deny them the “services” of the church, such as baptism, burial and of course marriage. Doing this seems to me to be an obvious rejection of what the church stands for, namely a gateway to forgiveness. There are chapels for sinners in prison and for those on the streets who sin with drugs and crime. I think most Christians would agree they do not cast out sinners, but embrace them. So, do they baptize them? Bury them? Marry them? If you believe members of corporate churches can make such judgments -that gives them the right to make such decisions that please them. This doesn’t get to the root of the matter. In saying “no” to any they consider sinners, aren’t they rendering a judgment that is God’s alone to make? Are they not hypocrites to marry thieves, for example, yet reject gays, practicing or otherwise? If sinners are to be denied the church’s services, which sinners- and what services? Are there any churches with clergymen that do not presume to “bless”, they ask God’s blessing? (very different thing.) Was it the essence of Reformation that priests couldn’t sell, or indeed grant, that which was God’s prerogative alone? It seems to me Christians who decide what is right or wrong, and dispense or withhold church services based upon their interpretation of the Scriptures, are violating a very important Bibical injunction- “judge not, let ye be judged.” SMiles
  23. uuuugggg My mother just had hers done, (colitis) and was complaining about the huge jug she had to drink...4 liters??? Had to drink it every 10 minutes and could not finish the whole works...then worried like *** over the fact she wasn't shitin "clear" as pee by the next morning. The procedure went fine and everything worked out. Used to be done at hospitals, now the doctor is all set up to do colonoscopy right in his private practise. Cannot complain when compared to barium enema- Hope all goes good for you. SMiles
