  1. I did my training static line from cessna's...and then continued for many years launching 4-ways from cessna's and tons of formation loads with 3 cessna's- c-180, c-182, c-206, until my d.z. got a porter. Back when we were first launching 4-ways, the slots were, wheel- crotch, step, door. Then we stopped using "the crotch" because of the dangers involved in that slot...and launch became- far hang, wheel, step & door. My favorite slots were wheel & door- (first out or last out) Formation loads rawked....great for rw experience- and I miss them, especially diving from chase plane... 2. What do you think about heroin trails that are aimed toward facilitating the research needed to implement an effective alternative regulated treatment option for heroin addicts?? Will hard core heroin addicts benefit from a heroin maintenance program? Will it reduced the amount of criminal activity taking place? Will it improve peoples' health status? Will it allow people to go back to work, find jobs, be in better housing and basically put their lives together?? 6. dreams I've had: -coming to- in freefall, with ground rush, eyes wide open gawking at how close the ground is......... -coming to- under canopy at 50ft. from the ground. -in freefall with 1 son tucked under each of my arms, paralized except to hold them tight as a could. of course always wake up before impact........ tea..??

Red Rose- Orange Pekoe Tea, is what I drink. Canadians rawk! Occasionally like a cup of Murchies Earl Grey, with tsp. of sugar---no milk. Always add boiling water to the tea bag. Heat the Tea Pot first by rinsing with hot water. Allow tea to steep 3-5 minutes before pouring. I prefer drinking from a china tea pot & cup. Never order tea when outside of my home as all restaurants seem to think that they can serve a pot of so called "hot" water, with the tea bag on the side?? Then they also have the gall to serve it with creamers rather than milk???? Whatz with that???????? I also luv a hot blueberry tea... 1 oz Amaretto Almond Liqueur 1 oz Grand Marnier Orange Pekoe Tea Mix amaretto and grand marnier in a brandy snifter or glass. Add hot tea to taste. Need a glossary

..have attached some .jpg pics of basic 4way dives, you can save them, and put them together on a page...print off, put in your log book for reference.... sorry, due to file size of attachments here could not attach as one page..... SMiles
  9. Ya! ---having the book sure does help when designing a dive plan Editions Para-Graphe 1992, is copyright- 2nd edition Freefalling together 1, and is no longer published. I believe there was a 3rd. book after this with the actual inters...blocks... I have a program I can draw a man in- then just copy and paste him to design all the numbers in the book from 2-way till 20-way...and publish them online as .jpg for people to copy & print, staple together their own book. Unsure if that would be an infringement on the copyright of Para-Graphe?? (Attached pics of 29-38-94-1-hut) SMiles
  10. seem from a woman? or smelled from a woman?? ahhhhh, must of smelled like climb to jumprun right around 10,000 ft......(when I am continually forced to plug my nose and whip out my scented spray from my handy jumpsuit pocket..) Women like myself have made a life long habit of never farting in the aircraft.... SMiles
  11. I watched Eric Clapton Crossroads guitar festival on PBS a while back which presented highlights from the unprecedented event--- Yesterday I purchased the DVD.. to watch last night (5.1 surround sound) ...talk about 'awesome'
  12. ...I like this pic... reminds me of a cessna formation one winter when base plane was climbing and chase plane had a flat tire...together everyone stomped out in the snow a huge "NO GO"......... SMiles
  13. It is very hard to watch when it's your child getting the "poke." I was diagnosed with diabetes when I was 10, and the nurses were very cool at getting me used to needles. I got to practice my injections into an orange every day until I was ready to try doing my own insulin injections. It was way harder for my mother to learn and do insulin injections, than it was for me to learn. In those days there was way more involved than now as I had to boil my syringes and needles, plus check needles for burrs.........insulin was also beef & pork rather than bio-synthetic(dna origin.) The disposable syringes now come with needles so fine (used on babies) ...ya do not feel a thing. Also back when I was young had to go for the weekly lab appt. to get blood taken to test blood sugars...(it made no sense to find out results days later) that sucked a big one...on my veins. (So simple now with blood testing devices that only require a finger poke..) 30 yrs. of pokin later...if I ever need blood work taken...I watch, and can tell right away if the person is skilled at there job or not, and believe me there have been more times than not- a problem with their skill. The real experienced, have no problem with my veins, they are in no rush and take their sweet time finding what they want....and are very successful with only 1 poke!! SMiles
  14. Hey, this is similar to an article written a few years back: Skydiving Mag...issue #231 by: Austin Scott Collins...titled: "Who are these people?" Skydiver Species List is missing one very important, highly respected, the most cool, and outrageous people in the world, ..........BASE jumpers. SMiles
  15. I called Ralph to order my new main- saved myself over $500. and was very pleased with delivery time. SMiles
  16. Sorry to hear your sister has had 3x kidney transplant, liver transplant---talk about strength!! My brother has Crohns & lives with a stoma (all his gut has been surgically removed with disease except for tiny piece that leads from stomach- through stoma to bag) Was one of the first in our province to pass his chemistry tests and take his TPN feeding home...........administers his own feeding thru jugular vein....set up sterilized area where he changes his tubing every 24hrs. He is able to feed nights, pushes his pole around with pumps... and has now purchased a back pack for new tiny pumps (yeah technology!) goes off his feeding every a.m. (many cannot do this and must stay on feeding 24 hrs. a day) - healthy looking guy now!!, has been feeding this way for years-- (was skin & bone as guts were not absorbing nutrients needed to survive) He even goes to work every day!! SMiles
  17. There is an intestinal disease (Crohn's) which destroys the gut from absorbing nutrients. Many have this condition and are skin and bone as lady in this pic. (first pic you attached...) TPN (Total Parental Nutrition) or, feeding through tubes into the veins..........is what some people with this disease must rely on to stay alive. One of the solutions used in tube feeding (TPN) is called lipids and is the fats and amino acids the body needs in normal nutrition. It is used in conjunction with saline (and/or dextrose and/or potassium) and nutrients for feeding. The lady in your pic is in dire need of lipids....... within 6 weeks of TPN feeding she would be normal in weight. SMiles
  18. Would make my head hurt too!! All depends so much on who did the measuring for the custom suit...gotta luv the torso measure (standing straight measure from the hole in throat down under the crotch and back up to bone at base of neck.. Nothing beats having the actual body there to try it on, and make adjustments. Also depends on the pattern I suppose- The material measurements for just poly/cotton compared to working with spandex/supplex nylon or taffetta. Have to have extreme patients and attention to detail....you will get it I had to draw some suits on graphics today- of course had a picture to follow but still a bitch! attached: kneeflyin.jpg back in the 'old days' when life was simple ...suit patterns: suit1- suit2 - suit3 SMiles
  19. Ya!! So awesome you can include the sport you luv with your creativity!! The possiblity is endless for comedy even at a small cessna d.z.!! Looking forward to viewing and enjoying "DZ comic" in Feb. !!! The profiles are perfect!...(could add the common dz dog!) what software do you use to draw comics in?? do you prefer .png files for color to .jpg??? I have been working in Corel Draw 9 for my skydive graphics-(so accustomed to drawing tools) and importing into flash to animate and export as .swf files (drawing tools in flash suck huge!!) A skydiving buddy has been logging his jumps with drawing cartoons for years....(a work of priceless comedy by Rod Mack) .. would be awesome to scan and publish one day--to preserve (as log books now are so old- paper also)attached few horrible pics just to give an idea (shouldn't of bothered!) 24. I do not consider myself a "speaker" in SC. I have travelled outside my country (westcoast Canada) but wish to spend more time travelling within my own country. I spend time associating with people from many countries...(home d.z.) russia, usa, new zealand, australia, laos, japan....and many of them have travelled to other countries. I do not watch BBC or FOX news, but do not miss an episode of "pilot guides." I read books, some controversial...just finished "It's the crude dude: WAR. BIG OIL, AND THE FIGHT FOR THE PLANET, by Linda McQuaig. Many can read the same story also, and have complete different perspectives, but can develop their own opinion on what they have read. Right now I love checking my e-mail as friends are writing and sending pics from backpackin in New Zealand, skydiving in Eloy and heading for Ixtapa boogie, living in a RV on beach in Mexico- Las Cabanas Del Capitan...travels in Australia,.....but the highlight of my day is receiving mail from Cuzco Peru from friends heading for 4 day hike up Inca trail (Machu Picchu) to see ancient city suspended above the clouds. my point: if you are surrounded by world travellers- your opinions can be developed from education they share with you.
