think there is a program tonight on Discovery Channel called "Target Titan"... awesome pics!...the largest moon of Saturn, 2nd. largest in solar system, the only moon in the solar system known to have clouds and thick planet like atmosphere. http://www.esa.int/SPECIALS/Cassini-Huygens/SEMQ1QQ3K3E_0.html Did Huygens land close to brightest, large continent sized region called Xanadu?? SMiles I choose rather admit that I know what little I know, and confess that I do not know, that which I do not know............. for that is the beginning of knowledge.

Last week my son gave me from his book collection..."Emotional Intelligence-Why it can matter more than IQ" to read. I thought...hmmm, does he think his mom's IQ is hindered by emotions??? Anyhow haven't finished it yet-- right now reading "The Social Arts chapter...Emotional brilliance ....If the test of social skill is the ability to calm distressing emotions in others, then handling someone at the peak of rage is perhaps the ultimate measure of mastery.." thanx..... my bad gaud....there is no "clicky" on flash animated banner this page: http://www.icarusnz.com/ but there sure are many on this page- especially the flash animated banner "coming 2005 from icarus nz" that does clicky to http://www.icarusnz.com/ -still very curious how that was accomplished!! SMiles I choose rather admit that I know what little I know, and confess that I do not know, that which I do not know, for that is the beginning of knowledge.

communication breakdown again...hoping this may be helpful. Have you got help yet that works?? viewing your awesome page- I can see in upper right the beauty flash banner with your e-mail address "Jumpmunki.me.uk" As far as I know to design this banner with a link to your e-mail address re: mailto:jumpmunki.me.uk you would have to edit your flash file re: /munkiflash.fla You would insert a layer to design a button on. This new layer would be blank frames to the end of your animation layer that loops, here you would insert a keyframe on your new layer. Then --insert-- on this keyframe--"new symbol" and select - button. You can design your button with up/over/down/hit keyframes- black background with simply word "contact" filled in green...maybe on the over keyframe just the outline in green enlarged-- example: http://www.vancouver-skydiving.bc.ca/munki.html When you click on "contact" you will link to your mailto address. When button is designed go back to scene 1, go to window-library...select your button and drag it to your keyframe on your button layer. Now add about 20 frames (long enough for person to click on) With buttons disabled select your button, choose properties...action...get url like I earlier described. Then save, export movie, publish. Therefore your animation would run through- then your contact button would display for its frames, then animation would loop again- then button.... SMiles

anyone ever have a tooth "crowned"/any dentists out there?
smiles replied to Newbie's topic in The Bonfire
---gold transfers heat and cold more than porcelin ---gums recede so eventually roots of crowned tooth get exposed, so cavities at the gum line are in your future. I have 2 gold crowns covering right and left upper rear molars, and porcelin bridges on each side (upper) so goes ...gold crown, crown for bridge, fake tooth of bridge -and crown again- on each side. Beauty!- I can chew!! and not that painful getting done............. way better than false teeth!! p.s. I have dental plan that covers 50% for crowns and bridges....otherwise could not afford this work! SMiles -
work in progress rawks!! I know how to give properties to buttons designed in Flash 4------so will give a try at explaining how it is done, hoping I am not "screwing your head around anymore than it already is!!" To give animated button its properties within flash: you will be in Scene1 with your animated button on the page--- go to control- and make sure buttons are not enabled. Now right click on your button and choose properties--- you will see: definition/color effect/actions click on actions- in left corner click on "+" sign to see choices- choose -get url box opens with: on (release) get url ("") end on. to the right side type in without spaces: mailto:typeyouremailaddress click o.k. then file- save- gives you your .fla file export movie- gives you your .swf file, publish........gives you html file. You go to your html file for animated banner and copy it, from this line: example all the way down to: Then paste it into your html page where banner is displayed. You will have to include alignment at the beginning before Also you then need to transfer (upload) your .swf file for your banner. SMiles

I started off with Gateway desktop for my home office almost 5 yrs. ago. My monitor has warantee for 6 yrs., Gateway PC for 3 yrs. along with Tech. support. Just under the 3 yr. PC needed replacement components which Gateway delivered to my door promptly and each was upgraded.....new harddrive, then a month later new motherboard, then new cd/cd-wr drive and finally a new power supply. Needless to say 5 yrs. later---I am very impressed with Gateway and its service...!! SMiles

Tsunami, Powell: U.S. aid will be 'billions'
smiles replied to Lostinspace's topic in Speakers Corner
As your opinion no doubt has developed from associating with many Canadians that "slam" the US, you've now have had the pleasure of chatting with one Canadian that does not slam your country. I live 5 min. from the US/Canadian border. More than half of people I associate with are US. Many travel to my d.z., and many of us travel to theirs. We get along very well, skydive together and party together- "no slamming", as you remark. Health & Happiness for the New Year! SMiles -
Our news last night indicated the dogs did not escape from the basement as earlier reported, they were fenced in the kitchen. There were 3 adults sleeping in the house when the 3 yr. old boy was attacked in the living room, adults continued sleeping through attack (911 wasn't called for hours) the boy's brother and sister were ones to find him in the living room mauled to death. All dogs were put down and mother apparently had drug related problems and previous charges for dealing drugs, her children have been taken now by human resources. The 2 Rottweilers that mother was babysitting had been seized previously at a drug bust (meth lab) in the city............. Also police indicated that many dogs have been abused and trained by owners to be aggressive (used to guard grow-ops and meth labs in our city).......... SMiles

last new years eve, we were so tanked before midnight...we forgot to chill champagne (2 bottles Mumm Cordon Rouge 1998)...so it got thrown in the freezer (never will forgive) and was frozen when the clock struck 12...............sucks. I luv my bubbles......... Have learned to chill in ice bucket 1/2 full cold water, for 1/2 hr. before serving. Wipe bottle/ remove wire & place thumb on top of cork & twist bottle not cork....pour into clear glass flutes 2/3 full- return to ice bucket. Any bubble buffs have more info??? SMiles

Sounds like you are doing everything you can to deal with "shit happens".... I certainly would not want to be in your shoes. I do not have help to offer you but do have some questions: ...left on my front door? The apartment complex lobby or at your door?? The last delivery from FedEx I had (re:Gateway sending replacement parts for PC over $2000) I heard a truck pull up, looked out window of my home and driver was leaving- no knock at my door, by the time I opened my door, truck was gone. What I do not understand is, the paper work that was sent required my signature....in proof of being received for Gateway records. The package was so huge and would have sat at my door if I was not home.....anyone could have grabbed/ never alone inside a hallway at a door in apartment complex... Sorry for the babble...but ordering through FedEx delivery is huge risk, my responsibility if stolen before received by myself. SMiles

Tsunami, Powell: U.S. aid will be 'billions'
smiles replied to Lostinspace's topic in Speakers Corner
I am saying that comparing amounts of $$ countries are giving.... at a time when we all need to pull together to do what we can to help, is petty on your part. Canada's contribution of $40 million, and my province (British Columbia) pledge of $8 million directly to the Canadian Red Cross....is simply not enough. The enormity of the situation is so huge compared to the amount of money that we are sending----they are grateful of course, but they need and want more....we have to push for more. SMiles -

Canada only 1 million?-- like I previously replied to your post, you jumped right in to slam other countries for their "initial" response, stating: SMiles
