  2. Hey! I am wondering why any dzo's would support a jack-ass operation like skyride???? __________________________________ I jump at Abbotsford Skydive Centre, Vancouver B.C. Canada. For over 5 years now they have spent huge advertising money to promote "Vancouver Skydiving" as their business. This includes a shop located in the city of Vancouver available for registration and shuttle service to the d.z. in Abbotsford (for first time Tandem jumpers) Their website url is: http://www.vancouver-skydiving.bc.ca (bc.ca is domain for british columbia/canada business) There are 2 dz's operating in Vancouver area: 1 in Abbotsford 1 in Pitt Meadows Pitt Meadows d.z. is named "Pacific Skydivers" and their website url is: http://www.pacificskydivers.bc.ca Great group of respectable skydivers except for their d.z. business operation supports a jack-ass operation. When doing google search for Vancouver Skydiving: http://www.vancouverskydiving.com/ is listed. ---This website named "Skydive Vancouver" in British Columbia with a 1 800 583-JUMP phone number- no info on where d.z. is located. I called the number and asked is this Skydive Vancouver? I was told yes-then I asked where in Vancouver is your d.z. located? I was told: "Pitt Meadows- Pacific Skydivers is where we operate from." So- this d.z. is accepting Tandem jumpers that are booked through..... 1 800 583 JUMP which appears to me the same scam operators as Skyride. Talk about a desperate business ploy for a d.z. operator??? Recently Pitt Meadows d.z. operators have also purchased domain of: http://www.skydivevancouver.com/ Of course this domain forwards to their: http://www.pacificskydivers.bc.ca website. So when google search for: Skydive Vancouver one gets Pacific Skydivers website. How to operate your business is your own personal business- stoop as low as you want.....use every option available to you- competition is the name of the game????????????? Glasses

I have perscription for near sight and hated them as for anything up close- had to take em off, far away put em on hassle. So- my eye dr. said to get lenses that are no prescription in bottom half and change progressively to perscription at the top. Then I was wearing them more, less taking them off- What bugs me the most is how shitty the lenses fit into the wire frames,... ah, cannot complain the frames have lasted 5 yrs. and can get new style which I've noticed are not so tiny now-- can continue using the lenses.....prescription has not changed. Most important I can skydive without em as long as someone else spots.......!! 5. faith??........to delve into the more profound dilemmas of human existence?? (Sin, Guilt & Redemption??) What was your choice of drugs? Crack or Meth??? My definition of addict is one wired to crack or meth. What personal choice do these people have once they have damaged their brain giving themselves permanent mental illness?? Thanx, I am very content- skydiving keeps me healthy= #1 and smokin a huge "fatty" = #2 -saved my eyes, helps relieve arthritic pain better than any other medication I've tried & a great motivator to keep me smiling... -how do you define "clean??" I have been addicted to smokes & coffee for over half my life.... SMiles eustress. : a positive form of stress having a beneficial effect on health, motivation, performance, and emotional well-being.
  6. My understanding is that people of faith are "captive of a concept"... and they have the ability to stay captive within their concept, ability to block out all of their reasoning skill and keep themselves boxed inside their precious concept. Personal choice is involved. Addicts do not have personal choice. SMiles eustress. : a positive form of stress having a beneficial effect on health, motivation, performance, and emotional well-being.
  7. I partied for years as a teen with a large group of friends. Pretty natural if you ask me- of all those friends experimenting when I did, a handful did become addicts, 2 overdosed. We smoked dope, drank, experimented with acid till we got bored, mda (body stone with some speed) which became our favorite drug. No one wanted to do more all night- (satisfied) no one got addicted to the recreational drug. As I have type 1 sugar diabetes and always had syringes for insulin in my possession, I started "fixing" cocaine and heroin. When I fixed cocaine I loved the initial rush- and learned very quickly no matter how much more I did, it was impossible to get the high like the "initial rush" again- so this helped my ability to decline...I wanted to enjoy the high, listen to music, dance,...but everyone else became overwhelmed with #1 concern to get right back in line to fill their nostrils or fix some more...no one appeared to enjoy the drug after their initial exposure...the rest of the parties after coke showed up always turned quickly into duds... everyone turning into feins- anti-social. I consider myself very fortunate as when trying heroin it felt awesome, but made me puke and initial rush was so different than cocaine- I didn't want to try it again. Long story short: I did everything to become a drug addict- the only reason I can come up with why I didn't become addicted was because I was a sugar diabetic from 10 yrs. of age and had learned life long lesson about keeping "control." Also thankful I got some education by watching a program that explained with detailed graphics how the "pleasure center" of the brain becomes destroyed with cocaine use/or X To this day (40 yrs. of diabetes) I can happily say that injecting insulin daily and eating a healthy diet, exercising, keeping "control" of blood sugars allowed me to have real concern over my body and my health- an inner sense of priority and respect. I have always tried to learn and understand why some of us become "drug addicts"--- my experience with those close to me has taught me: in regard to meth and crack......... no matter how well they have: -been raised -respect for their mind and body -been respected for their accomplishments in life -deveoped great life skills and education -been loving, caring and wonderful people -have healthy lives and relationships -are well off financially.. the possibility of becoming addicted is the same for all regardless SMiles eustress. : a positive form of stress having a beneficial effect on health, motivation, performance, and emotional well-being.
  8. Those with positive pull-- ever tried to put your pud back into tabs when wearing gear- (seated in the aircraft??) I've been jumping positive pull for over 15 yrs.- never had a concern....(still don't) My pud handle slides into top and bottom tabs on bottom right side of container- the top tab is just under the right closing flap. Last week loading into our porter my slot was on the bench (stradled) faced toward tail -(behind the pilot seat.) Another jumper took my seat-- so I asked him to move forward and slid onto the bench behind him. My pud must of caught and pulled out... while sliding into seat. Ride to altitude with converted engine (A-34) is only 8 min. to the top now- so being squashed in seat wasn't bad- until I checked my gear...my pud was completely out of it's tabs. I tried hard to get it into tabs but could only get the bottom tab in....(top tab of handle still out.) I asked for help re: slide the top of my handle into the top tab......a few jumpers tried but didn't understand the pud setup- they were just sliding it under the closing flap. Funny recalling my thoughts on jump run..... 1st. hmmm, launch holding on to it.....chances are the bottom tab will hold it in anyway... 2nd. hmmm, I know I can reach back and pull my pin myself if I have to.....(floating pud) door.............. 3rd. hmmm, forget it ---I'm riding the plane down. 1st. time I've ever done that- and what a ride it was!! (made my day!) The porter is amazing...the angle of the nose---my ears popping over and over...the landing absolutely rawked!! Lesson learned: pud wouldn't have released if I reached back to protect it with my hand- while getting seated in aircraft. 14. I'm from Canada eh? Never taken oxycotin or orphenadrine.... Body injury sucks major- throws you into shock you sometimes have never experienced- even having a great attitude of "shit-happens" doesn't help. You are not alone...good to talk about your pain and be able to understand that "TIME" is what is needed to heal- along with "PAIN RELIEF." My doctor has prescribed hydromorphone- a potent opioid analgesic drug in extended release capsule formulation. Taking one capsule 1X a day- at the same time -works for 24 hr. pain relief 100% When pain is relieved you are able to rest- and some injuries require you to rest- in order to heal. In the hospital after surgery I have been given morphine intravenously and very aware how easy it is to spend day after day requesting it, regardless if there was ever a pain anywhere in my body....I be "a-feared" of pain....(most human) Taking hydromorphone time release capsules 1X a day it was never like intravenous morphine as medication is released slowly over the 24 hr. period- not every 3-4 hrs. and wearing off faster and faster. After the first week, I was also concerned about becoming addicted and my doctor explained that tolerance leading to mental and physical dependence can occur with the use of when it is taken repeatedly. Physical dependence (need for continual doses to prevent withdrawal symptoms) can occur after only a few days of narcotic use, although it usually takes several weeks. So- #1 only take as prescribed Do not suddenly stop medication as it has to be weaned off of slowly.. #2 drink more water (actually I also ate 6 dried prunes every time I took my meds.) Constipation sucks! #3 DO NOT DRINK ALCOHOL as potentially fatal interaction between slow-release opioid painkillers and alcohol---dangerous levels of hydromorphone are released quickly into the blood stream, instead of over a 24-hour period. This effect is known as dose dumping-suppressing the cough reflex- breathing level, blood pressure.....(no thanx) #4 Visit your doctor regularly. I was prescribed hydromorphone over a three month period.....weaned off of exactly as prescribed, and did not have any withdrawal symptoms, craving for continue to use...(physical dependency) Mental dependency was there...anxiety....fear of having pain- but once I realized I could actually tolerate it---all was good. Once my body had healed I was very naturally extremely interested in getting back to the life I had without use of drugs..........I was able to move/ exercise/ and best of all...skydive... 15. The federal government has to come to it's senses here in B.C. Canada. First-degree murder charges have been laid in the largest serial killer case in Canadian history. 27 women have disappeared from Vancouver's Downtown Eastside between 1995 and 2002. The prime suspect, Port Coquitlam pig farmer Robert "Willy " Pickton, has been in custody since his arrest in February 2002. In British Columbia Supreme Court in New Westminster on January 30th, 2006, Pickton pleaded not guilty to 26 of the 27 charges. Canada does not have the death penalty, so Pickton faces multiple consecutive life sentences if convicted. The number of at-risk women missing from Downtown Vancouver since 1978 stands at a shocking 68. DNA from 31 of those women was found on the Pickton property by investigators. ---the Robert Picton trial where, there are some 15-20 lawyers involved all paid by me and thee the taxpayers. And this raises two coupled issues the government should but likely won’t face. The first problem is the right to a jury trial, a right all of us have in capital cases. But how do you get jurors able to and prepared to give up two years of their life no matter what you pay them – What about their jobs? Their families? Their personal lives? The only way a jury trial can be avoided, apart from getting all the lawyers for the defense to agree, which they won’t, is for Parliament to pass a special piece of legislation, declaring Regina v. Picton to be tried by judge alone, for this case only, and having the jam to pass it “notwithstanding “ the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. It’s not as if this would deny Picton justice for that would be to say that a judge sitting alone is not competent. Would such a law run counter to the Charter the rights to which are subject to such reasonable limits prescribed by law as can be demonstrably justified in a free and democratic society? Is it not reasonable to assume that if the matter was submitted to the Supreme Court it would rule that, on balance, a jury trial of 2 years or plus was an appropriate one for Parliament to assess, deal with and change to a trial by judge only? Could it not be said that the accused's rights were being dramatically curtailed? Could it not be argued that it’s impossible for a jury to deal with the mountains of evidence they will hear? Could it not be said, on Picton’s behalf, that it would be in his favour to have a judge only who will understand and give appropriate weight to the masses of evidence before him and be better able to judge the presumption of innocence Picton is entitled to? One of the reasons Parliament must act is because these lawyers, all paid by the day, are on a gravy train ensuring that any of them not now rich, will be. It must be said then, unpleasant it is to do so, the longer the trial goes on, the more the lawyers get. No lawyer would ever admit this but swift justice is not in their interests. Lawyers always bellow like stuck pigs when this sort of thing is suggested. Too bad. Lawyers, appearances to the contrary notwithstanding, are human beings subject to human frailties, one of which is making as much money as possible. Every word uttered in this “voir dire” (the trial within a trial to determine the admissibility of evidence) is money in the wallet of each lawyer in the courtroom who will all say that both the the Crown and accused are entitled to the most thorough examination of every jog of evidence adduced”. They say that with great solemnity though it’s hard to explain how they can do so with a straight face! Why must we have 20 something charges? Is it not possible for the Crown to select, say, 5 cases which, in their vast experience, look like certain convictions (unless they screw up, of course, as happened in the Air India case with considerable help from the trial judge)? While it wouldn’t reduce the trial by 4/5ths it would cut it back considerably. I understand the need for closure for so many victims’ families but surely in a case this large, they would understand. We know how much of our justice system depends upon the Common Law – shouldn’t it, from time to time also demonstrate Common Sense? F*** me eyes

I do not believe I have f*** me eyes.... but I can show you who has f*** me eyes, along with forehead, eyebrows, nose, mouth, sound, body, soul, ... he sounds like the ghosts of Jimi and Stevie Ray, but with a great style all his own, a phenominal guitar player. Doyle Bramhall ll Who is he you may ask? A few years back God rang up Doyle Bramhall II on his cell phone. "Along with D'Angelo, I think you're the best contemporary artist I've heard in a decade," Eric Clapton told the former Fabulous Thunderbird and Arc Angel. "I was wondering if you'd like to get together and maybe play a little guitar with me?" Actually, Clapton was calling to ask for a guitar lesson. A copy of Bramhall's 1999 solo album, Jellycream, had been in his car stereo for months, and the Hall of Fame guitarist had fallen in love with "I Wanna Be" and "Marry You." Clapton wanted to cut the songs with B.B. King for their Riding With the King album, but he couldn't quite get a handle on reproducing Bramhall's parts. By the time Bramhall had demonstrated to Clapton the same passages of "I Wanna Be" and "Marry You" more than once, Clapton conceded it might just be easier if Bramhall came to the studio and played them himself. Two days later, Bramhall heard B.B. King playing "I Wanna Be." What Bramhall doesn't need to articulate is that, at just 32 years old, he's already at a place where his onstage bag of shit can hold its own with Clapton's. I first heard Doyle Bramhall ll when listening to Crossroads Guitar Festival DVD, when he played on stage with Clapton (Cocaine) and playing Green Light Girl...(I fell deep into his f*** me eyes) Doyle is featured prominently on Roger Waters' In the Flesh Live, DVD---Doyle Bramhall ll and Snowy White, the two lead guitarists on this tour, leave stinging solos on "Another Brick in the Wall Part 2," thus pumping new life into an old and often wearing radio staple. "Mother" is also simply amazing, with Doyle adding his own unique flavor to Gilmour's powerful solo--- Comfortably Numb is the biggest highlight to me, Doyle's vocals and dueling solo with Snowy--- F*** me -forget the eyes... 19. It was strictly in the interest of science whereby the US Geological Service teamed up with BP, the British oil giant and Statoil, a huge Norwegian oil conglomerate, to do a survey on global warming especially in the Arctic. Since they believe they might find some oil under the ice they decided, apparently as an afterthought, that as long as they were there anywhere, they might as well look for a little oil while they were at it. (If you believe that I have a lovely bridge just waiting for you to buy.) The US Geological Survey estimates that ¼ of the worlds petroleum reserves lie under the Arctic Ocean. And there are other players like Russia involved big time. When I heard about the scientific front for this undertaking I couldn't help thinking of Japan slaughtering hundred of whales each year for “scientific purposes.” Here is the good news. Oil exploration will become more and more feasible in the Arctic as the ice cap recedes and the companies can do their drilling on dry land. And in fact, the news here is very cheery because it’s estimated that the Arctic Ocean will be free of ice in summertime by 2060. Now here’s where you come in. Global warming, as we know, is dependent on emissions from cars and others exploiting the universe as a huge garbage dump so conveniently put there for the consequences of our greed. Think of what we could do if we all just added, say, 10% to our fossil fuel consumption and waste expulsion! Why I bet we could lower the time for an ice free Arctic back to 2050, or maybe, 2040! All we need do, really, is concentrate on buying all those SUVs that GM and Ford have overstocked. We could have bumper stickers saying “save the Arctic from the bears and Inuit – buy a gas guzzler.” Whom the gods wish to destroy, they first make mad. The gods must have been working overtime on this generation of earthlings. As Stephanie Tumore from Greenpeace said, “why are we going looking for more fossil fuels when what’s happening in Polar Regions just proves that it is devastating and we cannot continue to do that?” Why indeed? I can see some benefits that Greenpeace and others have overlooked. On the assumption that even in summer there will be some ice at the North Pole, we could put in an airport and fly tourists in to look at the zoo where the last of the polar bears live alongside the last remaining walrus, narwhals and caribou. At this tourist sight there would be a real live imitation Inuit Village where, when the tourist come, the inhabitants put on their old sealskin clothes and rush to the airport to rub noses with the visitors. I mean, what a tourism experience for those who have been everywhere! But as I say, folks, the good old oil companies can’t do it all by themselves so rush out today, get the gassiest of gas guzzlers and help get rid of that stupid ice cap that’s getting in the way of the oil barons who so badly want to put more and more fossil fuels in our hands. Let’s all keep that neat cycle where gases clobber the environment enabling the oilmen to get oil more easily to clobber the environment and so. Moreover, with lovable old Petrocan in there carrying the flag for us, surely it’s our patriotic duty to pitch in and help. We can do it, folks, we can do it!
