Skydiving is not an excuse for lack of fashion sense people!!
Zenister replied to GQ_jumper's topic in The Bonfire
if you believe tye die ever 'went out' you've been hanging in the wrong crowds some people seem to believe wearing camouflage outside of necessity is somehow fashionable and cool.. ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed. -

read more.. and take off the crucifix shaped blinders.. they are greatly intefering with your grasp of some basic scientific priniciples, as well as your perception of some simple facts... rotflmao... so what exactly have they been slipping into your communion wine?? One could just as verifiability claim the entire Edda Saga happened exactly as written.. the FACTS are none of your 'prophecies' stand up to historical critical review.. but of course Xtains never let facts interfere with their belief... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

you can believe whatever you wish.. crystal spheres for heavens and flights of singing angels to support the firmament if it makes you sleep better... but it wont have much basis as fact. ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

yawn... yet another Christian Mouthpiece quoting the same tired unsupportable assertions and basic misconceptions... of course the lack of original thought and critical thinking skills is revealed in the failure to qoute the source for their simple cut and paste 'thoughts' ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

no idea.. i've been getting all my wine at cost for the last few months... i discovered the last one i really liked was about $80 retail and the one i had before (that i wasnt so keen on) is over a $100.. however i'm a HUGE fan of an Aussie blend "Mak" (about 16 retail) and there is a $8 "Five Rivers" that is very tasty as well... (and the label has what looks like a bellyflier even..) ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

The war supporters. What are our troops dying for?
Zenister replied to Darius11's topic in Speakers Corner
well he'd be far ahead of GWB if he started by actually listening to the real experts and not sidelining, ignoring, publicly degrading and then firing those who disagreed with his preconceived ideas and plans... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed. -
Well i'm likely getting a Vigil instead and the 80$ isnt that meaningful a return.. i'd get more entertainment value out of having a 'new toy' to experiment with.. i'll likely disassemble it at some point just to check the assembly and manufacturing standards as well as see what i can learn from it.. have to see if i can rig a way to pull out its firmware to snoop around it too... i really like the idea of a 'self deploying' freefall toy, but i'm not sure how often i'd get to play with it even at Eloy with all their 'additional real estate.. however i also like the idea of donating it to someone in a less restrictive country, there will likely be more than a few about for the holiday boogie and as long as they are aware they are jumping an 'expired' piece of equipment the risk is entirely up to the user IMO.. ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

Frikin Candians...... and Italians, and French, and Aussies, and Venezuelans, Chilieans... you get the point.. chilled wine is 'correct'.. but if you prefer your wine like luke warm swill... well.. its your taste buds... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

Skydivers and Morality: A Practical Discourse
Zenister replied to skyhigh57's topic in Speakers Corner
The discussion has moved from the specifics of the Atlanta incident to one of a more general nature. and they Did.. they went on with their lives, when it was obvious (to those who were even aware of the incident) there was nothing left to do to help the victim.. How many showed up the next morning to volunteer to help the sheriff conduct the search? well "General Nature" isnt under discussion.. the question was not " what if someone could not be found" but "what if there is a body out in the woods" it doesnt matter if your talking about this specific incident or not.. there is a HUGE difference between searching for survivors and searching for a body.. showed up the next morning? why should they? did the police ask for help? would they have even accepted if offered? in most cases the answer is NO, unless you have specific SAR training.. and at that point it really doesnt matter if the body is found in 2 hours 2 days or 2 years... dead is still dead.. ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed. -

the majority of fine dining establishments keep their Reds in a cold room because it is considered 'correct' and a slight chill will certainly improve the taste of 7 dolla swill... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

Skydivers and Morality: A Practical Discourse
Zenister replied to skyhigh57's topic in Speakers Corner
With the attitude of "fuck it, leave him out there", how do you expect to have your own last wishes for your body honored? He doesnt. Unlike you he seems to have a grasp of the reality of someone going in at terminal... there will be no usable organs left... sounds fine to me.. Exposure is a common burial rite in many cultures.. unfortunately ours insists that things be done in a more controlled manner... hell i've sworn to a few friends i will help conduct their "viking funeral" despite the legal issues.. and they Did.. they went on with their lives, when it was obvious (to those who were even aware of the incident) there was nothing left to do to help the victim.. ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed. -

You're missing out on some excellent - and free - learning opportunities by not being at the dz when the weather sucks. Same goes for post-sunset activities. It's amazing how much free ground coaching you can get just by being around when the really good people aren't busy jumping. unfortunately the policies at some dropzones now mean that nearly everyone who can vanishes, as soon as possible when the jumping is over... management didnt like the party so the party moved elsewhere.... and the 'post jump' atmosphere went with it... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

Well these were the first two 2k has made according to them. They are asking for our feedback so who knows. U'r not breaking anything, I could care less if others have the same helmet. probably the only two made specifically for tunnel fliers, but there are LOTS of those helmets about DZ all over the world. ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.
