    indeed i pretty much said the same thing in a PM recently.. i'm an argumenative bastage too and you wont see my name in any of the war threads..(well not with a serious post under it) I have to deal with it all day at work why bother bringing it home to the DZ?? so whos going to be at Elsinore/Perris for the next few weeks?? i've got to go to Irwin for a bit and i'm hoping to make it down there in between the rotations...

    well you'll have to get video for the debreif so you can work on technique adjustments.. one will kindly offer his services, and since hes new at this and may miss a few things (which just means you'll have to repeat the attempt) you wont even have to pay my slot.

    see thats why i want to go back and become a professional student, no goals, just an intent to study whatever interests me that semester.. of course thats what i did when i was there last time too and the reason i ended up with a BFA (painting/sculpture with a minor in art education) and a BA in English literature (with minors in history and religious studies (actually it was more philosophy but they didnt give minors in philosophy so..i floated thru enough dedicated religion courses to qualify.) and of course now i work on radar and radar explotation systems...go figure no goals can be a bad thing sometimes

    you know you just found in 30 min what i took 3 weeks to find during college... the internet rocks eh? still want to find the paper i wrote, it was one of my better works...that and the analysis (with classroom demonstration) of how the poisoned blade switch in Hamlet was probably fenced in Elizabethan times.. i miss college. when i win the lottery i'll split my time between DZ philanthropist and professional student ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

    well i used to have you all beat.. i had a hottie admin type who jumps out of planes! shes so cool she even talked me into doing it and now i jump out of planes too!! unfortunately the big wheels realized how cool she was and promoted her to running the corp confrence room where she gets to play with millions of dollars of video display and teleconfrencing equipment. (3 HUGE screens to watch skydive vids on during lunch!) but i was so disenheartened by the loss that i had to take a job in WA ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

    can i ask why? i'm looking at getting a pin rig and since birdman BASE is definately on my to do list i figured getting one now would save getting another rig later, but i'm very interested to hear as many opinions as possible on the subject..(here and elsewhere)

    holding a negative opinion toward any concept of divinity because of bad childhood experiences with old world religions is just as close-minded as the blind faith types how terrible it would be to walk the earth and not see the beauty beyond man, free of the religious dogma that has been forced upon you. the greatest evil of organized religion may be that the backlash against it makes many people believe that there are only two choices, and so they close their eyes to ANY experience of divinity, when there are FAR more options than are dreamt of in your philosophy why set your mind against and decide that there is NOTHING greater than man simply because man's religions are often so shallow? forever is a long time to be making proclamations about is it not? can you prove there is nothing else after this? if you cant it is best to keep an open mind, as it helps to deal with the shock of new experiences.
