two from Chris Cornell I am the Highway Pearls and swine bereft of me Long and weary my road has been I was lost in the cities Alone in the hills No sorrow or pity for leaving I feel I am not your rolling wheels I am the highway I am not your carpet ride I am the sky Friends and liars don't wait for me I'll get on all by myself I put millions of miles Under my wings And still too close to you I feel I am not your rolling wheels I am the highway I am not your carpet I am the sky I am not your blowing wind I am the lightning I am not your autumn moon I am the night Like Suicide Heard it from another room Eyes were waking up just to fall asleep Love’s like suicide Dazed out in a garden bed With a broken neck lays my broken gift Just like suicide And my last ditch Was my last brick Lent to finish her Finish her Bit down on the bullet now I had a taste so sour I had to think of something sweet Love’s like suicide Safe outside my gilded cage With an ounce of pain I wield a ton of rage Just like suicide With eyes of blood And bitter blue How I feel for you I feel for you She lived like a murder How she’d fly so sweetly She lived like a murder But she died Just like suicide ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

2 that still pull strongly.. One Rainy Wish J.Hendrix Golden rose, the color of the dream I had Not too long ago misty blue and the lillac too never to grow old. There you were under the tree of song Sleeping so peacefully In your hand a flower played awaiting there for me. I have never Laid eyes on you Not before This timeless day But you woke and whoa Smiled my name And you stole My heart away stole my heart away little girl Golden rose, the color of the dream I had Not too long ago Misty blue and lillac too Never to grow old. Golden rose, the color of the dream I had Misty blue and lillac too Golden rose, the color of the dream I had Misty blue and lillac too Gold and rose, gold are rose, gold and rose. It’s only a dream I’d love to tell somebody about this dream The sky was filled with a thousand stars While the sun kissed the mountains blue And eleven moons played across rainbows Above me and you. Gold and rose the color of the velvet walls surround us Little wing J.Hendrix Well she’s walking through the clouds With a circus mind that’s running round Butterflies and zebras And moonbeams and fairy tales That’s all she ever thinks about Riding with the wind. When I’m sad, she comes to me With a thousand smiles, she gives to me free It’s alright she says it’s alright Take anything you want from me, anything Anything. Fly on little wing, ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

actually here is the part where i DO agree with you. Despite their usefulness to a militia if required, fully automatic weapons provide far to much opportunity for a single individual to terminate the rights of others. even if everyone had one under their coat for 'defense', the potential carnage from a single incident (as so well illustrated in the media and used to demonize and ban semiautos) with a fully automatic weapon is significant enough to the lives and rights of others that the government should make some effort to control them. ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

actually i dont know anything of the sort, you are assuming an intent. its really pretty straight forward actually.. ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

Very true, and if you'll refer to my first post in this thread, you'll see that I agree with you. But (and this is in response to Zenister, mostly) how someone cannot understand that religion is an extremely touchy subject is beyond me. Religion is like family-- if I call your Mom a fat bitch, I sure as hell expect that you're gonna get offended. I don't think this would classify someone as sensitive or "waiting to be offended." see that would be a personal problem then, if you wear your religion on your sleeve your absolutely 'waiting to be offended' anytime someone mentions it in a light you perceive as negative.. the issue is still however your perception, not the actual statement of opinion. and whats really silly is there isnt any arguing with his stated opinion anyway.. God isnt muslim or christian or buddhist or jewish or human. so anyone becoming offended over such an opinion is ludicrous, what do you want? a retraction? "God is muslim?" really? seems that that statement contains more offense than the original, it just doesn’t offend one specific group… ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

Just wanted to point out the ridiculousness of this statment-- if you break it down word for word, phonetically, etc., it's not an offensive statement. If you read it like a human being with a brain in your head, you recognize that it was meant to bash the religion. It wasn't a random statement of fact. really you can get into an authors head and tell us what they really meant?? literature classes must have been a breeze for you. it isnt a statement of fact at all, its an observed opinion, from a specific environment, one you have very little real knowledge of, but your all ready to tell everyone what the author "really meant to say" If your getting offending by someone else’s opinion on the nature of god....well you are a prime example of waiting to be offended crowd.. ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

Actually, he did comment in the original thread also. This is starting a new thread, about whom it's OK to bash, using that as the starting point. see the thing is the statement stands in context and isnt 'bashing' anyone.. they are opinions based on individual observation. you cant accept or reject his opinions on any of his posted observations, but it still isnt bashing you or your religion, simply because you disagree with his observations... get over it. far to many people sit around 'waiting to be offended' go find God yourself.. he isnt christian either...its not a very difficult concept, why are you offended? ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

lol...i'm not on the other side of the planet (for the moment) but i'd definately say i'm in the 'trying not to become jaded again' catagory... seems like i've gotten burned rather badly the last few serious attempts, but if i stick with the 'i'm only playing' attitude, nothing significant ever evolves...of course no one gets hurt either.... just cant win. oh wait was that being jaded?? gotta stop that.. ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

i found it to be rather derivative of Umberto Eco, i'd recommend reading Foucults Pendulum and In the Name of the Rose instead.... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

would that more people shared those same needs... i'll be ecstatic when/if i find someone willing to put in equal personal levels of love, trust, time and energy.....that would wipe away all the cloudy days... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

not entirely true.. lots of managers, particularly those at mid levels, have NO leadership responsibilities, they simply act on the guidance from above and make sure that all those doing the actual work file and follow all the proper paperwork and procedures.. That is not leadership, it provides no guidance, inspiration or direction. Those whose jobs it is to provide guidance, inspiration and direction do not always (or even often in my world) involve themselves in the day to day operations. They dont push paper or track employee activities, they know the capabilities of each business unit and direct the goals for each to accomplish, but do not have oversight once those goals have been determined and assigned and so their 'management' duties are rather limited. Despite the pay grade differences, managers actually work for the engineers to ensure we have the time, means and materials to complete the projects they manage, but they provide little to no actual leadership. Most wouldn’t have any idea how to direct our daily activities in the first place, but they know what paperwork needs to be filled and filed every cycle to comply with corporate and government policies, and they follow up to ensure its done to standard. Leadership and management can be related and encompassed by the same position, but in no way are they the same function. ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

Congratulations! you can get your learners permit soon ooooh i wonder if anyone has ever been bored enough to come up with a sky birthday zodiac... mine is 4 days from now...i'll be 2!! They're managers. There is a HUGE difference between leadership and managering. Someone in the military should be able to tag that one right out the door, since they see (or should see) true leadership on a daily basis, as well as seeing managers mangering (the bean counters, etc). try telling that to any number of x06's i work with...of course most of them never learned and still fail to understand that leadership is far more than giving an order and expecting your troops to follow too... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

It's my dream to work hard and support a man. You'll need a couple of brand new rigs and on the weekends i'll stay on the ground to pack for you. I'll meet you in the landing area of the sunset load with a nice cold beer and give you a blowjob while you drink it.... well other than the 'stay on the ground' part... gotta sister?? ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.
