    That sounds great...except all of the worlds major religions are exclusive. They all teach that "we're right, and if you don't believe like we do, you're wrong and you'll be punished." I.E.- they exclude those who don't believe what they do from the chance of an eternal reward. Doesn't seem very "accepting" to me. (this exclusivity is necessary, otherwise these belief systems wouldn't have survived and evolved, but that's another thread completely...) "Science, logic and reason will fly you to the moon.     I sure hope she doesn't get hurt on her upcoming jump. I hope she(and anyone else who wants to jump, for that matter) considers the fact that even though it's a tandem, she can still get hurt(or worse). This still isn't bowling.     I saw it in ATL a couple months back...Absolutely fascinating. I was impressed how they were able to seperate the different systems(from a technical pov...) It's amazing how the different systems fit and work together. I was suprised at how easy it was to spot the smokers...All the lungs had some contaminents(living in an industrial age.), but the smokers lungs were plain as day to spot.     You can start by realizing that the problem you described has nothing to do with their sexual orientation. I'm curious why you even mentioned it.... Beyond that you might try asking her to tread more lightly. If that doesn't work, you(or your landlord) might be able to add some insulation between the floors to dampen the sound.     I think it has more to do with who's driving. Nobody seems to get carsick when they are the one who is at the wheel. I also ask how the student is feeling, and if they indicate that they might get sick I tell them that they wont and that nobody throws up when jumping. Usually this "power of suggestion" will keep them from hurling. If they assure me that they are going to blow, I tell them to lean left......while I lean right.     Evolution is just one of the latest scientific revelations that the church doesn't want you to believe because it feels threatened by the truth. If they admit that it's the truth(in agreement with the mountain of overwhelming evidence)then once again, people will realise that what the church expects you to believe is a crock. There is a long history of the church being on the wrong side of things when the truth becomes known.     I assume you mean conscience. What society views as "morality" is simply learned behavior. It must be taught. Even if it was instinctive, I've seen male birds fake injury and endanger themselves in order to draw a predator away from it's young. Simple preservation of the species. In your example this would be evidence of a soul. Sorry, I don't buy it. C.S. Lewis was not objective from a scientific standpiont. He obviously had an agenda. In science, the objective is to find the truth. C.S lewis' objective was not to find the truth, it was converting people to his belief system. My intent in entering into these silly discussions is to get people to think for themselves. I don't see myself as a sheep, consequently, I don't feel I need a shepherd.
