    Valentines day is for guys who treat their SO's badly all year. It's basically a commercialised and internationally sanctioned opportunity for these guys to make "amends". Washing the dishes or giving my wife a massage on an arbitrary day is actually more work for me than buying flowers or whatever, and is therefore more significant. Spending money is easy.
