Depends on which role you're playing. Tried to get out of my brother's to go jump. Stopped by the dz and jumped inbetween the wedding and the reception though. Gave one hell of a best man speech - the key is props. have lots of props...

Having had several discussions with the SDLV dzo, I can understand totally why he made up the rule he did. i.e. a few ruined it for the many - eliminate the possibility, partial headache gone. I will be visiting SDLV next time I'm there and we'll see if the conversation holds true. (btw, this is Michael from Ground-Rush.com and not Freefall.com making this statement - must change hats and keep the one out of opinions of the other)

Best thing I ever heard flying into ORD from Denver was: Flight attendents prepare for landing and let me know when you're ready. When they were all buckled in, the pilot came back on and said: OK everyone, we've been cleared to land, so hang on, this might be the roughest landing you've ever had. btw, once on the ground, had found out that most smaller planes had been diverted due to high winds and I'd never looked down the runway as clearly as I did out the side window on a landing before. i.e we were going more sideways that normal for landing... Did I mention they mispelled my name in Parachutist?

It's the pilot thing right? I can see it now... DD: Chicago approach, DD at 13.5 directly over the airport, requesting landing clearance. Approach: DD sky is clear between you and the ground, begin vertical approach DD to Cabin: OK folks, hang on, I saw this in a movie once... DD begins rapid decent to ground circa his dz pilot days...
