  1. You have to be kidding me? You actually, genuinely, believe that is legit? By legit, I mean (like Bill says) not a comment posted by a different user? Ever think that's why the page was removed? I mean, really...... Performance Designs Factory Team
  2. LOL - ok, fair enough - but I would like to see an official response from the company on the issue. Oh, and thanks for sharing FIRST hand info on the issue Mike. Blues! Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  3. Reports are that the material begins to flake and crack after a couple hundred jumps. Apparently this has something to do with the material not really being designed to withstand opening shock, packing, crunching up in a bag, etc over and over again. I too had heard it was a problem with specific colors, but I'm not sure since there's no official acknowledgement from Daedalus on the issue. I think a Daedalus rep could best answer the question though. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  4. Oh, there's NO WAY the tree is going down....just cleaning up a few limbs to make a nicer entry Performance Designs Factory Team
  5. Greg, Hans and I sat down and chatted about the tree this weekend. Greg and Hans are going to trim back some of the limbs to make it a little more 'new swooper' friendly
  6. You shouldn't be over the tree here either.
  7. Honestly I don't think the tree is a hazard at all. That said, it plays a BIG psychological role
  8. The pond can be used for zone accuracy regardless of wind direction, same for distance. I will talk to Hans, but we might have to block off some of the parking lot area to make that safe. For speed carve the landing direction will have to be AWAY from the hanger - which is our predominant landing direction anyway. Typically, this time of year, there is little to no wind (no jinx please!). Case in point - Sunday is supposed to be 97 with 1 mph wind - Sat is 96 with 3 mph wind. edit: My preference is to run AWAY from the hanger, the landing area is much more open in that direction. Surf's up
  9. Looks a lot like my old helmet :) Nice pics guys - keep em coming Performance Designs Factory Team
  10. Nope, it's not a 'new' Diablo. I'll know for sure after jumping it, but my understanding is that it's in the middle of a Sabre2 and a Spectre performance wise (much more bottom end than a Spectre). Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  11. Sorry folks, I have to bow out - unexpected expense. I'll be at The Farm this weekend. Have fun, and come back safe everyone. Ian Performance Designs Factory Team

  13. While that may be, you are more than welcome to just ask the PD guys face to face - that's what I do If you're looking to get fancy swoop answers on DZ.com you are simply looking in the wrong place. Sure, you can get general answers, or vague guidance, but nothing ever surpasses face time and the answers here will almost always cater to the lowest common denominator. Best answer (tailored to South Florida) - get coaching from the PD guys, Scott Roberts, Tom Delibac or John Zuliani (when he's in town). If you ever make it up to Atlanta, feel free to hit me up anytime. To answer your question directly, for a 270 I use double fronts throughout the entire turn. Bigger turns, I use a different technique. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  14. Folks, lets keep the event dates, times and locations for classes in the Events forum. Feel free to discuss the class and the content thereof though. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  15. Tell the truth Ian, you are a boogie snob, too good for boogies, don't want to waste your time. Glad to see you are coming around. I'm totally kidding by the way I couldn't resist. Performance Designs Factory Team
  16. Robbie....I had them delete it. I knew it would get to you..... My cunning, and devious plan, is in full effect. Today Pinkie, we try to take over the world! Performance Designs Factory Team
  17. Glad to hear that - it makes me feel much better about jumping at the boogie (I usually avoid boogies). Blues! Performance Designs Factory Team
  18. It's disgusting, and it's low. Right up Hillary's ally. As someone who's left leaning, I'm downright appauled. Performance Designs Factory Team
  19. I'm assuming we don't HAVE to register online and can do so when we get there? ps: Annie and I are looking for a quiet place to stay on Sat night - anyone got a spare bed? Performance Designs Factory Team
  20. Not sure, but it seems hard to believe that PD is going to get into the jumpsuit business. I'm not sure where they're going with the 'suits' thing, but maybe Skydfest will hold some answers. Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  21. I think Scott's right for the most part. It'd be nice to have an impact rated helmet, but the reality is that in all but glancing blows, it's not going to do a lot of good. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  22. It seems like just yesterday that we were all at Pie Bar...... This is simply staggering news Performance Designs Factory Team
  23. Dammit, I just messaged her recently. I'm totally stunned......... Performance Designs Factory Team
  24. Jarrett, I found a better picture of Stu modeling them. So I replaced the attachment. Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  25. Mike, Thanks, but I'm more partial to this helmet. I've also included a shot of my new swoop pants. They have ULTRA low drag. I think you'll see it become quite a trend. Special thanks to Stu for modeling them. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
