  1. Not so far IMO. It's pretty much the same old same old, so far. Run, shoot, etc. The only REAL difference I've seen so far is how interactive everything is. That aside its just another FPS. While D3 got boring towards the end, sure, and it didn't exactly break FPS ground, it did scare the crap outta me which was exactly what I was looking for. So far my impression of HL2 is a regular FPS with pretty graphics and some cool interactivity. I'm not disappointed by any means, but I'm not exactly excited either. 2. Absolutely. However I'm trying to weigh the perceived alternative, downsizing. To use your example, if you had been under a smaller canopy without the weightbelt, do you think you'd have fared better (honest question here)? Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  3. Yoshi, I know you had plenty of altitude (at least it looks that way in the video) but do not get sucked into the "I can fix it" trap. Like a hard deck, I have a revolution rule. If I haven't made significant progress in X revs, I'm outta there (assuming I deployed at my regular height). Don't get caught in the "I can fix it trap". Blues bro. 4. Me personally, I wear it every single skydive as I treat each jump as a swoop training jump. Most people don't though. Blues Mel :) Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  5. Good point to bring up. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  6. I've been using a belly band ALL SEASON with 10 pounds for 500+ jumps. Had it been a vest my back would have been screwed, honestly I don't notice any physical difference at the end of the day with the lead belly. Anyone had different experiences? Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  7. Lisa, If memory serves me correctly you said that others have had the same issue on the canopy. You need to send it back to PD, they will take care of you. If your cars not running correctly you don't keep driving it, right? Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  8. Ok Folks, This comes from reading thread after thread about "gee I can't get good swoops from my X wing cause it's *only a 135*" etc. For those of you who are serious about swooping, have you considered that once you feel that you've maxed out your performance on you X wing loaded at 1.3 that adding WEIGHT SLOWLY would be a better way to increase your speed rather than downsizing too soon? I'd like to hear opinions from seasoned pro's on this as well. Should this be something that's encouraged rather than downsizing too soon, or do you feel it's just as dangerous? Something to think about. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  9. Avoid this and use joins that correlate to the referential integrity rules of the database. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  10. Much much steeper. It's trimmed much closer to a velocity. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  11. Didn't I kick your ass on your home turf homeboi!! Nice pic....it's amazing what people can do with photoshop nowdays Edit: Looking into cancelling the flight now. Trying to make it fellas. Performance Designs Factory Team
  12. I hear ya, and I know it was a nit picky post, but I think some jumpers out there are under the impression that xbraced is now a required swooping wing (my pet peeve). We both know that's BS but we have to be careful how we write things that may reinforce that notion.
  13. So by your logic we'll never be attacked again? Performance Designs Factory Team
  14. It's a felony to do lots of things with technology. If you think that simply making it a felony will help you're living in a dream world. First you have to catch them doing it. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  15. There are other canopies to buy when "getting into" swooping. The velocity is for pilots who are already swooping well under their current wing and want the next step. Performance Designs Factory Team
  16. Well I can see this thread has degenerated. I re-iterate. Bastards. Both of you All jokes aside, I'm seeing if I can rearrange some stuff, but honestly with the tickets bought it's not looking good at this point. Anyway Bri, you should be happy, you'll score one place higher
  17. I'll teabag you both until your eyes bleed Bastards. Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  18. Dude, trust me I don't want to. It's my wifes company party in TX and we already bought the tickets This sucks balls. Performance Designs Factory Team
  19. absolutely. Gotta try out my new toy in competition. Feeling good about this one, been practicing hard
  20. I have trained you well young jedi....now go forth and spread the word Performance Designs Factory Team
  21. Like it or not, he can post what he likes about the persons poor choices. Just like you can make comments about his posts. Whether it needs to be removed from the thread or not is up to the moderator, not us. Edit: Some people who are addressing the skill level required are some pretty good pilots who I'd (and do) listen to. Of course that's just me...I want to get better. 22. Hi folks sorry for the crosspost but I'm looking for footage from the festival. Check out here for details!! Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  23. Wanna update Canopy Piloting with the latest dates, etc? Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  24. Pretty simple. The larger sizes don't scale up and still retain the same characteristics, hence they require additional changes and therefore testing. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  25. Hey All!!! Glad everyone had such a good time at the festival, but I was wondering if anyone had any video footage they'd like to send my way for a video promoting the festival? Obviously all camerapeople would get credit. If anyone has any good ground footage of the costume party, etc it'd be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!! See you all next year.
