There's been a few articles in the local papers here in CA about how a lot of lawyers are doing absentee voting then going to other states to help monitor voting, especially in places where there have been past issues (read Florida and Nevada) Both sides are doing it, most newspaper articles I've read state 10k for Kerry and 25k for Bush. As a side note, there was also an interesting article about a woman in Ohio who brought a suit in NJ claiming "Malone claims through her lawyers that the voter challenges violate a 1982 consent decree in New Jersey in which the Republican National Committee agreed to refrain from "ballot security activities ... where racial or ethnic composition" was a factor. jumping in late I remember in the debates where Kerry clearly admited to mistakes, such as the " I made a mistake when I said I voted for it then didn't". Getting back to the point, if Bush came out and said "hey, we fucked up. WE thought there were WMD's but there aren't." He'd have won this election in a landslide (IMO). Honestly, I don't watch MTV enough to make that determination. Maybe they have chosen sides and are going with Kerry, I don't know. I can say that I can't come to that conclusion based solely on "Rock the Vote" ads. If I had to decide based solely on the RtV, I could only come to the conclusion they are neutral. unless I'm mistaken, there are 3 or 4 draft measures in congress as I type. I'm also pretty sure the bills have been introduced from both parties. I've also heard talk of concern about a draft months before either candidate made their position known. I've also seen the ad's from Rock the Vote months before either candidate made their position known.. But hey, it's all a liberal media conspiracy to affect the election, isn't it? Maybe I've missed that commercial or something but I don't recall Rock the Vote telling anyone to vote for one candidate or another. I do remember seeing ads to the effect of " if it concerns you (the draft, or other issues pertaining to young voters) you should let your voice be heard by voting" . I recall reading in one of the fact check articles that the top 2% pay about 35% of the taxes collected and the other 98% paid 33% of the taxes. P.s. The "Kerry Biased" website has an algorithym to post poll reports based on the latest polls available regardless of source. For example, some of the battleground state's polls listed are from a clearly right leaning organization but they are the latest polls.
