  5. Sorry, I was wrong in that the hard deck as per USPA is 3000'. I knew it was defined in the SIM but accidently referred to the wrong list ( I was doing a quick search) It is 2500' for students and A license holders. uspa stuff I promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. 6. I learned that I should follow my instincts and not be complacent. In my case, I was packing my main and wasn't really happy about the bite stoes being too short and thought about repacking it. I was due for a repack and my rigger has always repacked my main as part of the service. I told myself, "Ehhh... just get it in the rig, he's going to repack it anyways" On my first jump this weekend, I got slammed by my canopy which has never done that to me before. I'm still sore in my shoulders and neck. I have to confirm this (to be sure) but it seems that my rigger only repacks the main if you give it to him unpacked. If it's packed, he just takes the bag out and moves it off to the side. I promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. I promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. eat sushi, get smoochieTTK#1
  7. I'll second the breakoff, pull and hard deck tones for an audible. I do want to point out that according to the SIMS, your Hard deck isd 3000' not 2500. http://www.uspa.org/publications/SIM/2005SIM/section2.htm#21g I promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. I do kinda wonder how they know who to sue what with it being a closed network n all.. I promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. I promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. eat sushi, get smoochieTTK#1
  10. If it were me, I'd talk to my rigger and S&TA about it. They would be the best people to give you advice. They can watch your landings to see if your flare is really not enough and can show you better techniques to flaring, or if it's a mechanical problem that needs to be corrected (shortening brake lines) I've gone thru a similar situation where I thought the brake lines were too long so I talked to my rigger. He asked me a bunch of questions about how I was doing things and how the canopy looked under full flight, half brakes, full.. etc. He and I eventually decided to put an extra wrap thru the grommet to shorten the lines about an inch, but I was also flaring too low. Opionions here should be taken with a grain of salt. I promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. I promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. eat sushi, get smoochieTTK#1

    Gas Prices?

cheapest I've seen (yesterday) was $2.63 a gallon in the East/SF Bay, California. Rumor has it that SF is at $2.79. Thankfully, I take BART to work so my only commute is dropping the kids off at school and to the train station. I promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. 16. if you look at this pic, here you can see the F-4's off to the right , and the larger planes right behind. Matching that to the satellite photo, they look to jive with each other I promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. I promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. eat sushi, get smoochieTTK#1
  17. I'd guess a B17 based on the thick wings although they had 4 engines not two and on a side note, these would be kinda cool playing cards I promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. I promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. eat sushi, get smoochieTTK#1

    Excel Help

if they prices in columns, then do like someone else suggested in a column to the right of the price (see quote). for example, the price is in C1, then type in D1 "=c1*.75 now, highlight the formula in D1. move the mouse to the lower right hand corner. That corner will turn into a PLUS sign. Once it does Left click on the plus sign and drag the mouse down to the last price in the column. If you click on D2 and look, the formula in that field says C2*.75 What this does is to automatically increment the cell #'s Same concept if you are working in rows, just drag the mouse right instead of down I promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. 24. thanks for the explanation.. I've never been able to fully stall my canopy using the brakes but have using rear risers (quite a few times in fact). I think my confusion came from someone saying if you couldn't stall it with brakes to use risers instead so I just assumed they were the same. Next time I do a cross country, I'll play with both methods. I promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. I promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. eat sushi, get smoochieTTK#1
  25. not true at all... Most laptop manufacturers make something called a HD caddy which will let you put a second HD in the media bay, kinda like these these . They're especially handy when you need to get data off a bad HD or one with a trashed OS. Course you can't use your cd rom with the 2nd HD in tho.. With that being said, I'd agree with everyone else and buy the external USB or Firewire HD I promise not to TP Davis under canopy..
