    I've been off three times, but only one was intentional because I couldn't make it back. That time was a night jump and I got too far downwind to be able to make it to the other side of the canal (Davis). The other two times were chasing parts from cutaways. Personally, I feel that landing out has made me a better (safer) skydiver. I'd know that if it comes down to it , I'll land out in a safer spot rather than becoming fixated on the DZ at all costs I promise not to TP Davis under canopy..     I couldn't tell you, I only have a handful of jumps on a Triathlon. If I had to guess, I would assume the a Spectre 190 would fly more like the Spectre 170 than a Triathlon 190. I promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. I promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. eat sushi, get smoochieTTK#1

    I was looking at your profile and you have listed the Spectre 170 as your main along with a wing loading of 1.0. In your first post, you mentioned your weight WITHOUT rig is 172lbs. MAybe I've missed something or misread it but I want to make sure you are not confused about this. To calculate wingloading, you take your weight PLUS your gear weight and divide by the canopy size. Typically, we assume 25lbs for gear weight. In your case, 172+25/170 gives you a wingloading of 1.16 If we took PD's recommendations by the book spectre that wingloading would fall into the ADVANCED pilot category. Based on your jump #'s a Spectre 190 might be a better choice Is that too much for you? I honestly don't know since I don't you or your skills. The Spectre is a very forgiving canopy, but the extra 20 sq ft might save your life or avoid broken bones if you get yourself into a bad situation. I promise not to TP Davis under canopy..     Although I didn't watch it, I thought it ironic that the major networks had to be "convinced" to air the press conference.     dead serious... cold turkey The biggest help was willpower and being aware of what I wsa going thru. Everytime I had the urge, I would remind myself that the urges were normal to be expected , and something I would have to live with if I wanted to be an ex-smoker. It'll be 4 years next week. Oh, and the field trip to the Exporatorium with a bunch of 4th grades didn't hurt either ;) The nicotine withdrawal buzz was definitely uhmmm.. interesting ;) I promise not to TP Davis under canopy..
