Yeah.. you're right about the video bios, it's not what you want to upgrade. Hmmmm.. is this a branded computer or a custom built? If it's branded (Dell, HP, Gateway, etc....) go to the manufacturer's website and do a search in their support section based on your PC model. If it's a custom built, you MAY need to know the motherboard manufacturer since BIOS'es can be motherboard specific. IF you want to post your PC model and name, I'll see if I can find it for ya. Lastly, it is entirely possible that you will not be able to flash the BIOS to a newer version. Side note, someone made a comment about ALL PC's being able to turn off by holding the button. Technically they're wrong. Only ATX form factor PC's will do that which have been around since Pentium 2's. well.. to be honest, we have no problem jumping, it's just the landings that can be tricky Honestly tho, the winds tend to either pick up in the afternoon and the beer light comes on around 5 or 6, or they'll drop off around midday. But like Deuce said, you get used to it. I still fly a boat (180) and 22 or so is about my limit. Some of the more experienced jumpers will go up to about 28 or so. Thanks :) Honestly tho, the certs didn't matter too much in this case. My references had a TON of pull tho. Nice that after a year, it was still easy to find people who were more than willing to say a nice thing or two about me, and they didn't have to lie either ;) Vegas for NYE... most probably.. Have to figure out the probation period and how to take time off over the holidays but it's definitely looking brighter !!!! Now, if I can just convince Skye that she DOESN'T have to work 18 gazillion jobs, we might be able to get away for a weekend her n there :) Oh n sunny, I'm looking into Greyhound tix and will let ya know ;) JK!!!! thanks everyone I'm still in a haze over it all. I knew I was going to be getting an offer, but sorta expected they'd offer me about 10 grand less. To be more specific, I'm going back to UC at a different campus, Berkeley to be exact. Same title, same pay as previously held. How did the pay periods work? IS it possible that your last week of work would be in a new pay period? In Ca, they don't have to pay your last wages until the regular payday if you quit. I'll throw in references. Make a list of who you want to use and in what context. Try to have a variety of people who can and will discuss their knowledge of your strengths. In my profession, I typically choose a few different types such as former managers, former direct reports (to me), peers, and people I have supported, even personal references. I'm in technical support BTW. This way, I represent myself across the board and don't limit myself to just customers, or just my manager. Also, make sure you ask permission of these people AND make sure they are agreeable to give you a good reference. The last thing you want is a reference that'll trash you. dang.... spider plants are almost impossible to kill I bought one almost 2 years ago and now I have 12 or so. spiders love sunlight, I keep them in the window sills and outside so I wouldn't be too worried about that. I've seen them used as groundcover where the get a lot of direct sunlight. The leaves turning black could be from overwatering or no drainage in the pot. Typically, when mine start looking dull and getting a little limp, then I know it's time to water. Lastly, spiders produce babies more often when they are root bound. the big deal is that they have a good marketing group who realized if you gave a handful of e-mail accounts out to a few along with some invites to create more accounts, that eventually the hype over being one of the "first" would create the "need" to have one. 1gig storage BFD. I have 10 gigs of storage for my e-mail 10 mb attachment BFD and bad netiquette since most people can't handle anything larger than 2 mb anyways. Free, whoopdedoo, add it to the list of freebies.
