  7. Yes, if they were right there, gotta try something. Only one person I can think of that I care enough about to take it down until the cypress fires. Both instructors I trained with said they would follow me down until their cypress fired and I saw another instructor go down to less than 1500ft chasing a student once as well. 14. Does anybody believe that bar patrons who have license to carry concealed firearms strip themselves of them whenever they go into bars currently? All the law will be doing is legalizing what is probably done all the time now without incident. I find it odd that you say, "Talk about the Wild Wild West." Concealed carry was predicted by anti-gun fearmongers to result in "blood running in the streets" and that hasn't come anywhere near close to materializing, much as the anti-gunners were wishing it would so they could push their gun-ban agenda. - If a person has a license, no way in hell they want to get caught with it.............that is if they like their freedom! 16. Nope but I know 3 that would have flown down there and moved it for them. Hurricane winds I would have gotten out before that. Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas Pay a tarmac spot for a couple of days. I bet that another dropzone out of the storms path with a private strip would let anyother DZ aircraft park for free. You don't have to fly to Canada only far enough to make further decisions if needed. I think it sucks that it happened, but it would have been cheaper. I am not an armchair pilot I am anyone out there that thinks a very valuable piece of mobile property could have been relocated that is all. It could have been a travel trailer or anything else for that matter. I agree. "Some call it heavenly in it's brilliance, others mean and rueful of the western dream"
  17. WTF? Do the Republicans have a different definition of patriotic than the Democrats? I double WTF?!!!! Yea, WTF? "Some call it heavenly in it's brilliance, others mean and rueful of the western dream"
  18. Well that is just Beautiful. "Some call it heavenly in it's brilliance, others mean and rueful of the western dream"
  19. Depends on your definition of patriotic. Born In The U.S.A. Lyrics by Bruce Springsteen Born down in a dead man's town The first kick I took was when I hit the ground You end up like a dog that's been beat too much 'Til you spend half your life just covering up [chorus:] Born in the U.S.A. Born in the U.S.A. Born in the U.S.A. Born in the U.S.A. I got in a little hometown jam And so they put a rifle in my hands Sent me off to Vietnam To go and kill the yellow man [chorus] Come back home to the refinery Hiring man says "Son if it was up to me" I go down to see the V.A. man He said "Son don't you understand" [chorus] I had a buddy at Khe Sahn Fighting off the Viet Cong They're still there, he's all gone He had a little girl in Saigon I got a picture of him in her arms Down in the shadow of the penitentiary Out by the gas fires of the refinery I'm ten years down the road Nowhere to run, ain't got nowhere to go I'm a long gone Daddy in the U.S.A. Born in the U.S.A. I'm a cool rocking Daddy in the U.S.A. Born in the U.S.A. And while we are at it about patriotic songs. THIS LAND IS YOUR LAND words and music by Woody Guthrie Chorus: This land is your land, this land is my land From California, to the New York Island From the redwood forest, to the gulf stream waters This land was made for you and me As I was walking a ribbon of highway I saw above me an endless skyway I saw below me a golden valley This land was made for you and me Chorus I've roamed and rambled and I've followed my footsteps To the sparkling sands of her diamond deserts And all around me a voice was sounding This land was made for you and me Chorus The sun comes shining as I was strolling The wheat fields waving and the dust clouds rolling The fog was lifting a voice come chanting This land was made for you and me Chorus As I was walkin' - I saw a sign there And that sign said - no tress passin' But on the other side .... it didn't say nothin! Now that side was made for you and me! Chorus In the squares of the city - In the shadow of the steeple Near the relief office - I see my people And some are grumblin' and some are wonderin' If this land's still made for you and me. Chorus (2x) All of his music and lyrics come from small town America and reflect how those people live and what they experience. If you went to a steel town in Penn state 20 or 30 years ago, you would find people who reflect those words. You would also find people who would drive pink caddies waving to girls, even out of sight. Springsteen is known for music that reflects what he sees and feels. Anyone want to touch Dylan? I dare you! I double dare you!!!!!!!!!! "Some call it heavenly in it's brilliance, others mean and rueful of the western dream"
  20. Yeah, We spend 500 years kicking their arses and what happens? They take 3 hour lunch breaks basking in the sun on streetside tables with red wine and massive steaks and we get a soggy sandwich out of the vending machine. Somethings not right with that. Right! "Some call it heavenly in it's brilliance, others mean and rueful of the western dream"
  21. QuoteRemember that no matter how good-looking she is, some guy, somewhere is sick of her shit. Hit the nail on the head..........Exactly what I'm feelin! "Some call it heavenly in it's brilliance, others mean and rueful of the western dream"
  22. I hope they paid some royalties to Leadbelly. Still, they had one hell of a guitar player. Zep wrote all most all their own music and covered a fair amount of songs. This was very popular back in the day. Well, a band would take the lyrics and write new music for it. Most of the 60's bands were blues and swing based. Zep was not as political as the others, but The Doors were very out spoken......5 to 1, baby!
  23. No pics of Rabbitt? "Some call it heavenly in it's brilliance, others mean and rueful of the western dream"
