    I've been trying to get up the nerve to let one crawl onto my hand. Their bite is supposed to be painful, but won't make you sick or kill you. But everytime I get my hand close, they kind of raise up their front two legs, reminding me of a snake with fangs getting ready to strike. And that makes me change my mind real quick. My parents live in NW Texas and they have lots of Black Widows and Brown and they can kill(we have them hear too).......Most people can survive a BW bite and some can a Brown.
