Do you believe there are three basic types of rocks?
cloudseeker2001 replied to quade's topic in Speakers Corner
Seriously? Yes.....getting laid was far more important than science class! So... getting laid was far more important to you in 7th grade than it was to you in college? Yea, it was actually! And I was married while in college, so I could easily concentrate on school! "Some call it heavenly in it's brilliance, others mean and rueful of the western dream" -

How about a car that goes the speed of light? And then you turn on the headlights? The light races towards the edges of the galaxy, but the sum of the gravitational forces bends it until it comes around behind you? The light would now be in your rear view mirror, so make sure to have your low beams on. Or, the polite thing to do is to flash your high beams. Signal that you should pull over and allow yourself to pass. Great point! And I wonder if I could see myself in the rear veiw mirror flip'n myself off for have the high beams on??????? In the case against the chubby one in the oval office, you are just plain wrong. Please provide the name of the Federal detention facility President Clinton reported to for his sentence. He reported to Hillary Clinton detention center for completion of his sentence.....which is far worse than SuperMax! I knew I had seen a Mickey altimeter but did not know where until now!

Why do I get the feeling that calling the boss to report this "oopsie" was a bit more daunting than most? Blues, Dave I would just write failure report and then leave my badge and keys on his desk with a note stating what address to send my last check! Sad thing is we are due for a massive stellar strike. It seems to happen about every 50 million or so. "Some call it heavenly in it's brilliance, others mean and rueful of the western dream"

Judge won't be charged over gun she took to airport
cloudseeker2001 replied to ryoder's topic in Speakers Corner
I'm glad she didn't get charged, but I agree that the reasons for not charging her might be fucked up. So the woman must have checked her brain and brought her gun. Oups. If there is enough evidence to show that she had no intent, and probably didn't even know she had it, then I support letting her go scoot free. OTOH, if you let her off because it's the law scratching the law's back, then that is straight up wrong. If you had a permit to carry and you carried your weapon where she carried hers, and you got busted with it, do you really think the prosecutor would not charge you???????????? You clearly don't get it. If I was the DZO where you jump, you would be looking for a new place to skydive. Maybe this is why you are no longer a DZO? "Some call it heavenly in it's brilliance, others mean and rueful of the western dream"
