Buying beer for "firsts" an American thing?
Snowwhite replied to jumpingjimmy's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Ok, I'm gonna try this again and see if I can actually post it I said, " I don't care who you are, I'll let you buy me a beer!" skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com -
I used to sing for my supper, and the next day was always questionable. I think it was the smoke at the bars, and toi much use. Now it rarely happens. Give yourself a day or two to get full blown laryngitis, but gargel with salt water in the mean time, it sometimes helps. skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com

hmm, maybe we should get them to do it BETTER at the WFFC?! skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com

If you are coming to Champaign airport, let me know when and where. We have trucks/vans/shuttles heading back and forth all of the time, and I will make sure we do the best we can to accomodate you, or find a cheap shuttle alternative for you. We'll have a shuttle phone number on the website soon so visit us! Looking forward to meeting you! I may even loan streaker one of the official WFFC vehicles to come and pick you up. (If I can steal one) skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com

Yea. After waking this morning, I remember telling some eople last night that I was gonna revive it today... Owwww, my head hurts... YOUR head hurts??!! I remember talking to you, but were you at the Staff meeting? hmm,,, alcohol may have been a contributing factor. Boy we had a terrific night! Getting our livers, and lack of sleep ready for the WFFC 2006!! skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com

Think we can get them to reinact it for the WFFC? skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com

QuoteYou got to admit, he does have a unique way of dealing with those pesky bills every month. Now if only there was a way to get around that damn house payment! LoL >apparently he found those house payments too pesky to make... Yup, you're right. I always try to use my creativity for good and not evil We did have a guy whose house had a really bad fire, and he had no utilities or permit to occupy the house. The neighbors noticed a light on in the house, called the police to investigate. The cops found the guy had run electricity to his house lights and tv from the complaining neighbors house.no permits? no problem! skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com

Hey, can someone tell me who Ralph with the flag is on the freefall.com website, and how to get in touch with him? I've already called the wrong guy TWICE. Bet he's tired of hearing from me... skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com

How in the HECK do you get insurance reimbursements???
Snowwhite replied to windcatcher's topic in The Bonfire
Every State has an insurance commission, Your insurance company is required by law to give you the information on the commission. The next time you call your company, politely ask the FULL name of the person you are talking to, then ask them for the information for your States insurance commission. Make it clear that you are writting down all of the information that is being given to you. Ask your insurance company if they have received your claims, have a copy of your policy and what else may be required in order for you to get your refund back. Ask them plainly what DAY you may expect payment. Make it clear that you will wait until that day, when the mail comes, and then you will be calling your states insurance commission. Works every time. Nobody wants to be reported to the commission, their ratings go down when they are. Their ratings are part of their sales pitch. skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com -
I voted yes, but it's really a confusing answer, since I don't jump. I just help a little at the World Free Fall Convention, and since I work about 20 hours a day there, I really wouldn't have time to do much there. Then the rest of the year, I run my own business, and because I take an entire month off for the WFFC, I work virtually every other day of the year at my real job to support my skydiving habit. Strange, huh? Anyway, I'm a big chicken, it takes the whole dz to get me INTO the plane, plus LOTS of alcohol, and a bunch of pills. But the weirdest part is, I'm totally hooked on the sport, having spent the better part of the last 10 years volunteering to help at the WFFC and various other dz's. skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com

ok, so here is reason number TWO why you should quit work. We have one guy who couldn't get time off for the WFFC but quit his job before the convention, came and worked for us for a couple of weeks, and then got BEGGED to go back to his old job, and they give him a RAISE. We really are magic! skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com

Right about now, I could use some SERIOUS poking. skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com

Has anyone ever driven from Atlanta GA to Ottawa IL?
Snowwhite replied to JRock's topic in The Bonfire
Yes, starting from the north side of Atlanta (no downtown rush hour traffic) 9.5 hours. skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com -
Yea, I would do the same thing. In our case it was a middle of the night transfer of a really sick little guy. skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com
