  1. I was a Classical Guitar major in college. Yea, I know. WHAT was I THINKING?? anyway, I became an instrument builder, and had a music store for a couple dozen years. I still own about a half dozen or so Cellos. My basement is full of dumb stuff. If I had it to do all over again, I'd put those hours of practice into the cello. Bagpipe story. I was in a parade one year, they put all of the politicians behind the horse brigade. We requested a move. Next year, they put the bagpipes behind us. FOUR HOURSSSSSSS of DRRRROOOOOONNNNNEEE DRRRROOOONNNNNE.] ok, move us back behind the horses for year three! skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com
  2. Max, as you go thru down times, as you will, turn here for some words of reassurance, and cheer. When you are going thru up times, come here and read a dirty joke or two. Oh hell, just stay logged into DZ.com all of the time and keep seeing how much we all appreciate what you have done for us. Come to the WFFC and join the Pieces of Eight there, and I will bring some press folks out to meet you guys and you can find out how many MORE people really appreciate what you have done for us. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.. skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com
  3. This is amazing, usually we take benign posts about cars, kids, etc, and turn them into sex threads. Here is a thread that could have very easily been sexy, and it's turned into a CAR thread... What a bunch of ADHD's we are So what kinda car do you like? ha ha.. it was sexy.. my car is REALLY sexy.. that's why Kitty likes it.. Well, the best car I ever had sex in was my last van. Or was that the best sex I ever had in a car was in my last van. Hmmm Oh yea! Congrats Jake and Casie skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com

This is amazing, usually we take benign posts about cars, kids, etc, and turn them into sex threads. Here is a thread that could have very easily been sexy, and it's turned into a CAR thread... 7. Hey! I hear they make great baby seal skin boots there! Would you pick me up a pair next time you are there, and I'll buy you a jump ticket. skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com
  8. Hey, it's still early in the season here. Our local dz hasn't had the plane out of the hangar yet. At my husbands dz 450 miles north of here, they still have 20 inches of snow on the ground. My question for those of you in nicer climes, what are your dz's charging in the way of jump prices this year? skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com
  9. Man, eight years at the WFFC, and I have yet to see a naked male skydive. Next time one of you guys does that, would you please come and see me, soooooo I can see you??? skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com
  10. Unfortunately for me, I am in the same situation. But I always try to call and let the Streaker know when I've had one. He however only tells me about his when I call and ASK. Ok, so I ask alot.. skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com
  11. Well they certainly aren't endangered in your area! Hey, I thought it was VERY illegal to feed them. You can't even own one feather, even if it fell out of the eagle and into your yard! Unless you are native american that is.. skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com
  12. Speaking of washing machines...Your tax dollars AND highly trained professionals hard at work... Well, if I could get the darn thing to play, I could tell you if that was him or not.... skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com
  13. Three miles is actually closer to 15000 feet.... 5280 per mile, I think.. skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com
  14. We live on the Mississippi in Illinois, and they migrate here every winter to fish at the lock and dam. Same thing, there used to hardly be any, and it was a real surprise to see them. Now we have a couple of dozen who locate in what we call the "eagle tree" on Arsenal Island, and I have a client who has an aerie on her property and we see them REALLY up close and personal (scary really) there. Every time I see a bunch of them out circling over the river, I think of all of you guys circling, following the leader in to land. It's kind of a nice feeling in the dead of winter to look up and see the traffic in the sky. skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com
  15. I have a friend who likes to blow up washing machines, want a contact number? No shit, he can make them fly 3 miles high! skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com

  19. I've been trying to get on that site, but I keep getting an error message. The first page has all kinds of gifts, the rest of the time it says that page can't be open.. I did call the Biltmore and ask them to call me and sell it to me over the phone, hope they call tomorrow. Thanks for the help! skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com
  20. MAN I MISS ASHEVILLE! Olmstead lit the garden bug in me BIG when I was a kid, and got to roam at the Biltmore. A friend of mine was a family friend of the Vanderbilt aunt who still lived in the mansion at the time. We got special treatment. All of the gardens I have built since then have had bits and pieces of The Biltmore in them. I am looking for some really great shots of the Italian garden, the Conservatory, and some of the garden architecture to show a client of mine who is getting ready to do a HUGE redo of her gardens, patios etc. I would also love some of the knot garden pictures, thru the seasons. There have to be some really great books out there on the subject, but I'll be darned if I ( or Borders, or Waldenbooks) can find them. skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com
  21. I need to get hold of an old copy of Nat'l Geographic from 2005, Mar. Anyone have an idea of how I could come up with one? I'm trying to find out some information (and get some pictures of) the Biltmore Gardens in Asheville, NC, and I understand that Fredric Law Olmstead was featured in the magazine, along with some of his garden designs. skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com
  22. My husbands nickname is Streaker, for good reason. But his super strength is in his lips..... skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com
  23. Pine won't last as long as oak, or black walnut. Cherry is fast becoming over harvested. In our area, black walnut is becoming scarce. I'd go with Oak, in the interest of saving trees. Also has beautifu grain, very pronounced, and can be stained if you like. Mountain Ash is very similar, and holds stain in much the same way. Yea, I'm familiar with Koa, and many other woods mentioned before, having been a violin/guitar maker for a couple of decades, but Koa is WAAAAY too expensive, Spruce would be funny. Lots of work, climb up in it, and break right out of the bottom of it. Good for guitar tops tho.. skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com
  24. Hey, we did something new with the picture poster from the WFFC. We made it printable in a 9x 11, that you can download, and hang in your office or whatever. You can even send it to unsuspecting friends and say, "LOOK! I'm On a poster!!" Feel free to use it, it's available at www.freefall.com on the message board. I know that SOMEBODY from this forum has to be in one of the pictures in it, right? Beth skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com
  25. I love watching my skydiving videos backwards. Everyone lands in the planes... skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com
