My first love in high school was one of the smartest guys I knew. Very talented and lots of fun. Smoked like a chimney. He never tried to quit, until they removed his voice box, then half of his tongue. He was a chef. A chef with no tongue can't taste stuff. He just died. What a waste. Well, since our new DZ will be VERY close to Rantoul, I think all the local jumpers here, in Champoo-Banana, will know about the new dates However, I plan on printing out whatever you put up and posting as many as I can around the University of Illinois Campus in July. Oh man, that would be WAAAY too cool! Last year Miller Lite printed up about 100 posters for the WFFC and we gave them away on dropzone.com, in a kind of drawing. They were very popular, and I mailed tons of them out to folks all over the world. They were SO popular, I was trying to find a way to make them even more accessable, so I mentioned it to our graphics guy, and he suggested that we make it available online. So I did that a couple of months ago, and although the thread on our website has been visited several hundred times, I don't have any idea if anyone has really downloaded or printed them for their own (or their dz's own) pleasure. I was really hoping that the change in dates would be spread all over the place due to the posters being printed. So here it is time to make another WFFC ad for parachutist, and I could have our graphics guy go to the trouble of making it available online again, but I have no idea if y'all liked it. As many times as I have heard it (and I have been a part of the WFFC crew for 9 years now), I still get choked up everytime I hear it again. I love it, just cuz of the WFFC, and the great memories of tremendous people and times that it evokes.
