    Use a reputible go between. Most riggers/lofts will be willing to do this for you, and they will be able to inspect the gear for you. If the seller will not do agree to this sort of thing, walk on. Some of the major dealer out there also have used inventory.     Agreed. It it works well why F*%& with it. Chest rings cause more problems IMO than thaey solve. And anything that detracts from my harness input to my canopy I'm not interested in. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.

    That's why as a TM, and a Videot I saw who jumps with me, no one else can make that decision. And if I don't know you, you don't go. No mater what the experience level. It's irresponsible of the TM to make a life threatening choice for the passenger like that. It's that serious. And if you don't believe it, go look at all the tandem fatality reports. They make you read and study them to get you rating. There are fatalites that have occured due to idiots jumping w/ tandems. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.

    That is why a company I worked for recently did two thing when it came to sponsorships. 1) Used writen, enforcable contracts that clearly spell out the obligations of bothe the sponsor (FliteSuit) and the sponored. 2) Pick your sponsored athletes well. Avoid teams unless one of their primary rolls on their home DZ is to coach as well. I would much rather sponsor an LO who will be in contact with 50 people on a weekend that a 4way team who will train, creep, and debrief without talking to anyone outside of the team. Freefly is the same way, sponsor the guys/gals that coach and/or LO with the nebies in the sport as they are the ones buying. Oh yeah, sponsor me too... Money for nuthin', and your gear for free huh? ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.

    The Mpaad, or Mars or whaever of three names I've heard it called by, suffers from a design problem that I think will keep it out of sport rigs for a long time (if ever). The unit (without going into detail) needs a container manufacturer who will signifigantly redesign their rigs back pad, and reserve container for the unit ti be usable. One of the few things (IMO) that the VIGIL has going for it is that it is the same size, shape, and functions much like a Cypres. You should be able to use it in a crypre ready rig(as almost all are sold) if you wished to. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.

    There is an advantage to flying a bigger canopy and wearing weight to load it up to the match the loading they may have on a smaller canopy without the weight. A larger caopy has longer lines, and longer lines mean more pendulum effect, more momenteum through the turn, better conservation of energy. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are.
