Do MARD Components require TSO Certification?
diablopilot replied to JohnSherman's topic in Gear and Rigging
You may want to check on that statement. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously. -
Why would you need a master rigger for that? It's as the OP suggested, pretty easy to add a BOC pocket, and an switch to a new bridle. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.

Do MARD Components require TSO Certification?
diablopilot replied to JohnSherman's topic in Gear and Rigging
My off the cuff answer says yes, in as much as any RSL requires it. In addition, be cause it is so much more invasive in to the operation of the reserve system I believe it needs to be included in the TSO. Another debate is if it can be added to an existing design through the FSDO minor changes process or does it require a re-TSO'D of the system. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Or maybe they do know the value. To them. If they can sell if for that, more power to them. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.

What is the hardest plane to jump out of for AFF?
diablopilot replied to Amyr's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
FYI, the problem isn't with any of the aircraft. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously. -
Still flawed logic. In the case of the pilot, people have the option of cutting away from said problems. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.

Skydive Spaceland near Houston TX is close to IAH and HOU, has bunk house and is visited often by aircrews for various airlines. Come visit! :-) ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.

The tickets were bought through a UK agent who hired a now out of business UK booking company to charter the planes which were operated by a third company and owned by a 4th in Spain. I believe the third and 4th companies failed to receive payment and the fuel was not going to be put on the aircraft in India by a 5th company till THEIR payment was guarenteed. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Nice attempt to try to present your opinion as fact. The Pilot has a higher propensity for off heading openings, line twists, and has a far more dynamic and dangerous fight mode from asymmetric loading durring line twists. The Raven requires more technical skill to land well. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.

I'd like to add that the continuing education should not only be for students but should be a REQUIRMENT for instructors. Let's face it this is now an industry and has changed to an extent that the self development of instructors and their skills after receiving their ratings is no longer keeping up with the needs of the students, and it's getting worse with each successive generation of instructor. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. "Police Begin Clearing Zuccotti Park of Protesters" - NYT - 1:05 AM
diablopilot replied to quade's topic in Speakers Corner
No it will probably be shrugged off because OWS has missed it's window of opportunity to make any sort of rational point, or effect change, and has simply become a nuisance to those nearby, and a pack of childish thugs to the rest of the country, thus ensuring that people just don't give a crap anymore. B+ for idea, F- for execution OWS. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously. -

No I think we're appalled at people like you that think just because someone "needs" something you think it's ok they "take" it. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously. -
I miss that "Ranch Love".

Sorry, but the above statement is completely wrong. USPA will allow Tandem Jumps at 16, just as they allow solo jumps at 16. There is a BSR that a USPA Tandem Instructor must comply with the age requirements of the tandem system manufacturer of the tandem system they are using. There are tandem manufacturers that set no age limit and a USPA Tandem Instructor is perfectly legal taking a 16 year old on such a system. Mike Mullins USPA National Director Member, Safety and Training Committee Thank you for the clarification, it appears my information was out of date and I should have checked the resources available. It's also a great example of the USPA BOD not following through on a commitment. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.

At 115 jumps camera or not you should still be breaking off and tracking on EVERY jump, not relying on vertical separation. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.

Looks like fun times at the Ranch. 1st: Stop trying to impress the chick with your "madskills backflying." Instead break off and track like the rest of the world. 2nd: Pull on time, don't blame the Vigil for you pulling low. 3rd: When you have two out, don't worry about your slider and how much noise it's making. 4th: The grass was a much better idea than the roof. 5th: PlayitAgain Sports has good deals on used gold clubs and bowling balls. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. No USPA Tandem Instructor may take someone under the age of 18 without a waiver approved by the USPA BOD. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.

Depends on the regulations in the country you'll want to be using it in. On paper it looks great, but since it's a "Kit" aircraft and not a certified production aircraft, it is not eligible for commercial use in the USA. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Another Veteran Badly Hurt by Oakland Police/Thugs

You would have.... yet again..... supposed and assumed wrong. The fact that you condone the behavior of bullys in the name of law and order though.. is rather telling about mindless slavery though. Making excuses for abusive police... is just enabling them to continue to victimize Americans civil liberties... you know... that pesky Constitution thing that yall like to blither on and on and on about... but only certain numbers are important to yall rather than the document as a whole. Yawn. Play another fucking record. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously. -
USPA's "Championship" Demo Team?
diablopilot replied to airtwardo's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I feel the same way, however I'm stuck by the fact the ratings are the only game in town. I'd like to change things, but having seen it from the inside, I fear there is little we can do with the apathy of most of the membership. I'd be for starting an alternate organization more aligned with the goals of airport defense, FAA representation, and instructor ratings, leaving all the nonsensical stuff behind. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are.
