    My experience suggests that the canopy probably reacted as it normaly would in relation to the air mass it was flying in, but your and the other jumpers perceptions of movement in relation to the ground is what caused the issues. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are.     Your rigger puts himself at legal risk by installing it. You are operating a life saving device outside of manufacture's instruction by using it. You are endangering the pilot's certificate by jumping it. You are risking those you're jumping with's saftey if you skydive with it. You don't have to return it, infact I'm looking for one or two expired ones to have for "projects", but not for life saving. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are.     That is one of my biggest pet peeves in gear maintinence. Twisted brake lines shows the jumper doesn't give a hoot about their gear. It causes premeture weat and shrinkage of brake lines, often leading to poorer landings because of trim issues. It takes such a little amount of time to fix at the end of a jump day before the last pack job. Also most of it can be prevented by simply stowing your brakes before walking in from the landing area (please remember to look out for other trafic while doing this.) Tell your friend they are being lazy. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.

    True, but I have landed a "Raven" at over a 1.5 loading just fine. Now I wouldn't try landing a "MICRO RAVEN" at much over 1.3 but then they were not designed for it. The R-Max lands fine at those loadings and higher....as do the SMART and PDR's I've tried. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.

    While not much bigger, I can tell you from having spent "a little" time in Perris, it "feels" bigger. The fact it's 8 pannels instead of 10 makes a difference. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
