The problem with that picture is that the jumpers torso is not oriented towards their carving partner. This will cause it to be difficult to speed or slow, widen or tighten the carve. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.

Your logic of a large or "super" pilot chute doesn't work. A larger or "super pilotchute will only produce a harder opening IF it remains connected to the canopy and does not collapse, thus producing a stripping effect. Your logic assumes that the P/C has a decelerative effect on the jumper prior to linestretch. That just doesn't happen. Once the canopy is out of the bag, nothing is different, and the speed at which the bag reaches linestretch is not an issue. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Depends if you're assuming that it's produced in the normal assembly line fashion where it moves throough "stations" each one completing different steps of the manufacturing process, or are you asking how long would it take if they just focused on that one container? ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Know your landing area if you're gonna hot dog it..... If the guy had enough experience to be jumping that canopy, he should have had the judgment not to swoop power lines, and had no excuse for not knowing they were there. Silhouette brand frames are what I use.
