The air is not compressed. It is accelerated instead. There is no pressure spilling the air out the doors in SV tunnel, that's a factor of a body deflecting it out the doors. THe chamber entry and exit doors don't have to be held closed against a pressure (otherwise they would probably be designed to open inward as that would produce a stronger door). They are imposible to open when the tunnel is running due to a pressure DROP in the anti chamber from the venturi. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Snobby bitches..... For me it was just an issue of I'm too old, fat, and tired to cram myself into a Cessna. I have a thousand jumps out of them, and I down't owe it to anyone to do any more. Perhaps I should think of it as a courtesy to others, not inflicting my old, fat, tired self on them in the Cessna. Perhaps "whiney bitches" would be a better descriptor. I'm sorry, no offence inteneded. Was just poking a bit of fun at the turbine brats.

There's the one where I go in with nothing out and crawl out of the hole looking to hide from the DZO. The other is based in a very specific location. I'm making a jump about 15 miles from my original home DZ (SkyDance) and it's right over the I5 causway heasing toward SacInternational. I am in a steep delta looking right at the causeway, I suck it low and at the last possible second flare my body into a max flat track......I cruise down highway 15 feet above the centerline......indefinately.
