    As a TI I try to create seperation between myself and the other canopies, and just about the only time I've had difficulty doing so is multi jumpsip opperations, or high pullers. As a high performance canopy pilot, I'll always give tandems a wide berth, as they are at more of a challenge to manuver and spot unexpected traffic. As for tandems having the right of way, I believe that to be true. It is every skydivers duty to give tandems a wide berth, for the reasons listed above, just as an AFF/SL/IAD student would have right of way. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are.     It will be fun to see the new Caravan at my home DZ in about 3 weeks.. It is a grand with freight doors (no windows yet) Howevery the turbine is in for an overhaul and has been upgraded to 675 ponies (up from 600) and has a brand new prop.. I will keep you posted That should be a nice ship! If it's got the benches in it, even better. One thing I don't like about the freight version is the lack of windows. I think it can contribute to first timers queasiness. Have fun.

    I'll go out on a limb and suggest he may agree with my assessment that to do this sort of thing with first time jumpers is fucking retarded, will cause an incident, will endanger the student and instructor needlessly, will jeopardize tandem jumping when there is an accident, and is illegal according to manufacturers and the USPA.
