    Bull. When was the last time you went through an S/L progression, and did a jump? When was the last time you taught an S/L course? Ever jump with an S/L student? Ever stop and compare which progression produces a safer skydiver? AFF isn't "better". It's just "different".     It's not blasphemy - it's strong truth. It's just that there's a sticking point. it's in this part - "if everyone" that 'everyone' part is a slightly difficult goal [flashing]some might argue that this is the side effect of promoting skydiving for 'everyone'...[/flashing] Thank god.     That made me laugh! I did a round jump at the last Bridge Day, and as soon as I surfaced I started swimming HARD for the boat. One of the guys in the boat starts yelling at me, "Hey buddy, calm down, you're ok, we're comming to get you." I get up to the side of the boat and start climbing the step to get in and he says "Slow down dude, you're ok! No need to rush." I paused, looked at him like he was crazy, and said, "I'm not scared, this water is TOO fucking cold!" He, I and the driver just started laughing! ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.

    In the other thread I clearly refer to student training. I personaly use the one hand per handle method for my EP's, however studens in emergency's are rarely prepared of capable of calming them selves enough to do anything other than what they were trained. The one hand method of student training IS flawed in that it says "pull right, then pull left, it DOES NOT say "pull right, if having trouble pulling right, use left and right hand to pull right, check to ensure the canopy has fully released, then pull left, if having trouble pulling left, use right and left hand to pull left." ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.

    Remember that even those that skydive for a living, skydive because it's fun too. Most instructors I know love to teach, and there fore it's fun, but when it becomes "work" because students don't want to pay attention, or just want it done for them, then they can expect to be charged for things. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are.     20 cutaways, one hand per handle, never a problem. All DZ's in South Africa teach this way. Any idea how one would do 2 hands per handle with a Tandem rig? 7 of my cutaways have been on tandems. t We're talking about training studens here, not an experienced jumper who has the calmness and experience to ensure a pause in procedure to ensure a complete breakaway. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are.     No Mike your wrong I HAVE all; the bits required i ONLY want the specs. and it's a little hard to get my rig as apparently ONLY PA is allowed to retro fit the hook so my rig is 4000kms away I only want the specs, a 5 second task that has so far taken over a month Is Parachutes Australia an approved installation facility? ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are.     No. I can't say I'm not for "upgrading" tandem jumps, but there should be something of substance offered for paying more. Video, handcam, higher altitude, ect. Fleecing someone out of $100 for no added value would not sit well with me. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
