    Loved it. Very physical, and you'll end up with both minor injuries and illnesses pretty frequently. Got to fly a good amount, skills progressed many times faster than in the sky. I was trained through the IBA rating system, you can read more about it at www.tunnelflight.com It is a huge amount of fun. And you'll become a good teacher by watching and learning from great ones if you're receptive to it. Things I wish I'd known? How bad the pay can be. How some owners can be. How the politics can be even more insidious than those of the DZ. I wouldn't trade the experience for anything, but I'm not in a hurry to go back. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.

I can't think of any use or real value my organs would have to my family, unless they're planning on selling them on the black market.     I can understand that uncertainty and concern. If you possess the resources to replace it, then by all means, and I have seen damage on canopies that necessitate replacement, but I've also seen professional repairs that were just fine.

    This is a curious and quite circular argument occurring here. Heck, I'm a donor, and I still don't want the government having a say in what happens with my remains with out my explicit consent affirming my desire to donate. The term, as used in this thread earlier, "implied consent" is so slippery in a legal sense, and disturbingly dangerous in a rights violation sense, that it should be hunted down, thrown away, and abandoned permanently.     Let's be honest. Punishment only really works when the being doesn't yet have an adult concept of right and wrong, it can only assist in forming those concepts. Prison is just not a viable form of punishment, and it's rehabilitation abilities are laughable.
