  1. Side question - has anyone ever been at a bowling alley that had _good_ beer? Quote Uhm..,to me beer is like pussy.., I've never had any I'd call bad. Some may be colder and some warmer, I like it all. Blues, Cliff 2muchTruth
  2. Quote What do you think? Should the US send more troops to Afghanistan? Is that the question. OK, That's the question. Here's another question ; What's our goal in Afghanistan? Originally our goal was to ensure that the proposed pipeline carrying natural gas from the north through Afghanistan, through Pakistan wouldn't be molested. Bin Laden wasn't really ever the goal and he was never and certainly the Taliban were never in anyway involved with 9-11 .That's all just a fairy tail for kids or those with the same intellect down through the looking glass "freedom and democracy and get the villains, "War on Terr". So do we need more troops? If we still want that pipeline -Hell Yeah!!!!! Blues, Cliff 2muchTruth
  3. And precisely when do you think the Masons formed? That's a very good question ,Mr. Quade. I guess we need to define our terms. What is your definition of "the Masons"? And also what is your definition of "formed"? Blues, Cliff I'm willing to go back all the way to Solomon's temple if that's what you want. Unfortunately, it means they still can't possibly have any records before 971 BC (or thereabouts). Solomans 'Temple? , Oh Mr.Quade.., that was the scribe Ezras attempt to bolster his peoples pride. Please realize that "Masonry" was a spiritual practice and goal long before the era of Ezra. So what about those definitions ,Mr Quade? How do you want to define Masons and how do you want to define formed? Blues, Cliff 2muchTruth
  4. Here's a good one, As a sideline to my sceptic tank business occasionally I'll take a masonry job. You know ..,like retaining walls, patios, etc. Once in a while the architectchrist will spec "aged granite". I'm pretty sure all that stuff is about 2 billion years old!!! Aged enough for ya' colledge boy? Blues, Cliff 2muchTruth
  5. And precisely when do you think the Masons formed? That's a very good question ,Mr. Quade. I guess we need to define our terms. What is your definition of "the Masons"? And also what is your definition of "formed"? Blues, Cliff 2muchTruth
  6. Writing doesn't really exist on the planet until about 3,400 to 3,200 BC. There are pictograms that date back to about 6,000 BC, but pretty much nobody calls that writing. Even after the invention of writing, the earliest things that have been translated only go back to about 2,600 BC. What this means is that any "story" of any sort that came from before that was passed down completely in oral form and without something like a written document to keep track of the years, how would it even be conceivable to date this so called "enlightenment"? Yeah , Yeah, Yeah, Mr.Quade! And you know all this is true!!! The earliest form of writing found to date is about 3200 BC. so that is the earliest writing period ,end of report!!!!! Of course three weeks ago Lucy was the earliest ancestor to man. I'll go with the Masons' records! And I'll consider 5000 BC as the year of the Light (AL) Be square, be on the level ,excepting ofcoure when your "getting their goat". Blues Cliff 2muchTruth
  7. Yes, the average is either the mean, or the midpoint for all those that skydive. Sure there are DZ bums who make the sport the focus of their life, just as you have ski bums in the winter. If you do that, you can do it for relatively cheap. But by and large, both are expensive sports for those who treat them as a recreational activity. Boating is an expensive sport for those who treat that as a recreational hobby and there are a lot more rec boaters than rec skydivers so using your hypotthesis of money spent on hobby equaling IQ ,skydivers must rate lower in IQ than boaters. Blues, Cliff 2muchTruth
  8. Was writing not invented until then or is the earliest example of writing that you know about dated 3,200BC? Oh , Mr Quade, one more thing.., Don't look for the BC date on older documents. They didn't really know when he might be born at the time. Thus the year of the Light dating. Blues, Cliff 2muchTruth
  9. And what leads you to believe that this happened about 5,000 years ago? Is there some sort of document with a date on it, or perhaps the name of a king that can be traced to it? Well the Jews and the Masons seem to agree on that time. It also seems to coincide with archeological findings of the earliest civilizations. As I wasn't around all that seems good enough for me. Of course ,I'm in Red Foremans description a "Dumbass". Blues, Cliff 2muchTruth
  10. Meaning you don't know. Here, lemme help you out. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sons_of_GodQuote I do know ,enough. And you are going to help me out with Wikepedia? Encyclopedic knowledge by public decree? LOL!! Mr. Quade!!! Why don't you whip out the Saint James edition or google it? My interpretation is that there were extra terrestials mating with earth women at that time. Thus the year of Light "enlightenment". Higher intelligence mating with the lessor intelligent earthlings. Blues, Cliff 2muchTruth
  11. What verse is this? I don't remember! Look it up! Search it on the net. Do your own research and then you'll hold knowledge forever! Blues, Cliff 2muchTruth
  12. I don't believe that the Earth is less than 6000 years old . I do believe that the Year of the Light is 5000 BC. Blues, Cliff What do you mean by "Year of the Light"? The year of "enlightenment". Biblically when the "sons of god (note the plural) came to earth and seeing that the daughters of man were fare ,took them for their wives."-Genesis Blues, Cliff 2muchTruth
  13. Of course, more intelligent people know how to set their phones to vibrate. Unfortunately,Bill, intelligence doesn't necessarilly corellate with politeness, thoughtfulness or civility. Blues, Cliff 2muchTruth
  14. Quote Out on the road I see a lot. Tailgaters are the ones I hate most, that or the ones who run up a lane that is closed ahead to jump in front of everyone else (I have been known to "just happen" to spit a big goober out my window as they go past) A big problem is that way too many people don't seem to have any concept that there are other people on the road too. They have no concern whatsoever for anyone or anything outside a 5 or 10 foot radius from them. I think the "big problem" ,wolfriverjoe, is that when people are in their cars and trucks they don't act like they do when they're face to face. Kinda like the internet. Rudeness abounds!! People tailgate, fight for position(like one car length means so much) and hock big lugies on other motorists' vehicles. I believe a collective civility would go a long way toward alleviating our traffic woes. 15. Well, we haven't really been to the moon but we are considering it now. Blues, Cliff 2muchTruth
  16. Me , I'm a very good driver!!! Most Excellent even!!!! Why just the other day I managed to turn a sure accident into a near miss at 80 MPH while texting, slapping the kids in the backseat , and eating a double whopper . The guy I missed.., He sucked ass as a driver! Why did he want to turn there and did he really have to nearly stop before turning??? Blues, Cliff 2muchTruth

  18. My apologies to kelpdiver and the community. I didn't mean to stray from the community standards. Blues, Cliff 2muchTruth
  19. I'm exploring the value of lowering it. Ponder and respond. Remember, grammar and spelling do not count. Well how about this; It was really smart folks who thought we should spend the money to go to the moon .As a matter of fact it was smart people who enabled that project. Dumber people might not have had as lofty goals. They may have suggested we fix our sewer systems and bridges instead. Less intelligent people would never have invented the cell phones that interrupt my fine dining at "Red Lobster". If the "intelligent " people were never around we'd all still be living like the Amish. Self sufficient and in harmony with the land and nature. But what do I know? Red Foremen would refer to me as "DumbAss". Blues, Cliff 2muchTruth
  20. [reply Take your ritalin, read the rest of the post, and understand why I know that skydivers are smarter than average. Oh.., Forgive me.., You "Know", kelpdiver," that skydivers are smarter than average". Well, sir, I have read your post in its' entirety and I believe that some of your knowledge is based on false belief. An example (and I'm paraphrasing) you seem to believe that since skydiving is expensive it is a pastime of the more intelligent. While that might appear to you as a simple truth ,kelpdiver, I'm not so certain. Let me ask you this ; Have you ever heard the term "DZ Bum"? Yes, perhaps you've never noticed them . They are people that don't really have much income but manage to camp out around dropzones and just live in search of funds for their next jump. Some of them may have been your instructors at some point. I don't know how long you've been jumping but if it has been a while I'd wager that one of them probably fueled (for pay) a plane you've ridden in. Maybe one has packed your rig? See ,kelpdiver, skydiving isn't really all that expensive provided you don't also want to own a house, raise a familly, and drive a Benz. Given all that , your wealth of skydivers = intelligence argument kinda falls apart. You just "think" that people who jump out of planes are smarter. I beleive it is an activity more suited for "dumb asses" like myself. Blues, Cliff 2muchTruth
  21. It's a shame some of us only have the attention span to read one sentence, thereby missing the proof behind the opening declaration.Quote There is no shame in wearing old clothes so long as they are patched and clean. There is no shame in your kids catching head lice as long as they don't keep them. There is no shame in being not so smart. There should be shame in believing that somehow your intelligence makes you better than others. And if you think because we jump out of planes that we are smarter than others, Mr. Kelpdiver, perhaps you shouldn't be ashamed of your own lack of intelligence. Blues, Cliff 2muchTruth
  22. That is really cool Warpedskydiver. Something I made was once in Sewer Workers'Weekly. I was every bit as proud. Blues, Cliff 2muchTruth
  23. It is nearly certain that a representative sample of the skydiving world will score above average. Quote Yes. It shows *extraordinary* intelligence to throw onself out of an aircraft in flight and expect that between the two bedsheet sized pieces of fabric we've packed tightly inside a cordura container we'll be seein' our loved ones this evening ! Yes us skydivers are mighty bright! Nearly most certainly! Bowlers are dumb stupid animals! Blues, Clif 2muchTruth
  24. Definately not! Of course, when a doctor or a lawyer has a problem with their septic system, they be callin' ol' Cliff fo' da answers! I ain't no braintrust but I know my shit! Blues, Cliff 2muchTruth
